You guys seem to be expecting too much of of this story. It's not like every open world game can have an Oscar-Worthy story.

Flying Head Shot (I think)
Air Sticky Bomb
Splash and Crash
Suspended Sentence
Anyone have any suggestions for getting them out of the way without too much trouble?
Mejilan said:I thought for Flying Head Shot you had to launch your enemy in the air and then tag a headshot before they landed... no?
Sounds easy with a powered up shockwave as a Hero. Not so much when Infamous, though.
Hopefully there are more missions like that later in the game.

Awesome.
Its a website. (No more magazine info from me! Ive learned my lesson)ACE 1991 said:Oh god. Link, or is it in a magazine?
Mejilan said:When I pause, it shows "Lightning Storm required to perform the next trick." This must be the Suspended Sentence stunt. However, below that, it lists Stunt 20 of 21. Does this mean that I've completed 20 of 21, or (as I suspect) that Suspended Sentence will be 20 of 21?
The guy above is totally wrong. If the game says that you have 20 of 21, that means you have completed 20 of 21, and have 1 more to go.Mejilan said:Thanks for confirming that I have 2 left. I'm actually using a guide of sorts for the stunts, so I know what all 21 are. It's just I'm damn sure that I've done 20 already, not 19. :/
I'll just have to wait until I get Lightning Storm before continuing. I suppose I'll try to suppress my almost OCD-like urges to complete a map as fast as possible. With the first two islands at 100%, the Historic District is the last left to me. But first... Alden!
I've read the best place to get it is while charging the 3 substations in the mission you the get lightning storm. I had already beat it so I went to the 2nd island and pushed a guy off of a building and hit him with it right away.Mejilan said:Oh! Well, that's a relief, then. Thank you.
Best place to farm for the Suspended Sentence stunt?
The very same place you get the Lightning Storm? With the waves of baddies?
Any trick to getting them airborn before storming them up?
I got it really quickly. I just threw a grenade at a group on enemies, and then did the Lightning Storm very quickly after. You need to start the Lightning Storm before the grenade goes off.Mejilan said:Oh! Well, that's a relief, then. Thank you.

Mejilan said:I think you'll lose the trophy if you switch out of Hard mode at any time.
If you play through the very early tutorial part of the game (up to and including securing the food on Archer Square (was it?)) with enough skill, the game will auto-bump you to Hard mode. I imagine if you manually change to Hard at any point before that, you're golden.
For my part, I switched it to Hard the very minute I gain manual control over Cole.
Frostburn said:I beat the game as a Hero on Normal and I'm still on the first island replaying on Hard as Evil, I'm really enjoying not having to worry about zapping a pedestrian or blowing up a car with a crowd around it.

Sorry to burst you bubble, but Sucker Punch is working on Sly 4. inFamous 2 will not be anywhere close to 2011.Game Analyst said:This is one of the best games of this generation. I look forward to the sequel in 2011.![]()

I sure hope not. inFamous feels like the spiritual successor to Sly. And Sucker Punch has been vocal about making development decisions to keep the process fun and exciting for them.Blu_LED said:Sorry to burst you bubble, but Sucker Punch is working on Sly 4. inFamous 2 will not be anywhere close to 2011.

I can't see everyone there getting all psyched about going back to the Sly well yet again. It seems more likely they'd finish inFamous and be buzzing about how they could make a sequel even better.
Not to mention...
Ending spoilers:
The ending basically establishes the game as prologue to the fight against "The Beast." It was practically a cliffhanger.

And given the sales and reception of InFamous (which have been incredibly strong), I think Sony is inclined to agree. InFamous has done a heck of a lot better than the Sly Cooper series in terms of sales...Sly Cooper has traditionally sold far less than Jak and Ratchet...Ratchet having sold, at its peak, about 200k first month NPDs and then fizzled after that. InFamous has done 400k in its first full month, generated tons of positive buzz, and managed to fill an exclusive niche for the sandbox genre. They already have the platformer genre covered by Ratchet and LBP, so having another Sly game would just be fatigue.
Sucker Punch took a risk by approaching a radically different type of game with InFamous, but they've succeeded beyond most people's expectations. They've also got all the tools and engine work in place, the studio isn't big enough to juggle two different franchises at the same time like Insomniac. So it makes more sense for them to iterate on what they have then go back and try and make a new Sly game.
With the cancellation of sandbox titles like the Getaway, I think it's important that Sony takes the success of InFamous as their premier sandbox game and expand it. There's a lot of potential in the InFamous universe, and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the same kind of quality increase in InFamous 2 that Uncharted 2 saw.
FishSquared said:I know I'm late but I'm trying the demo now... the only reason I haven't really played this game yet is because I've been super busy, plus this game doesn't really seem to appeal to me all that much.
I am trying it, however, I may be pleasantly surprised.
I'm not knocking it or anything, I completely understand why people say it's a great game and love it, it's just Sanbox titles really aren't my forte.
