I feel like I heard a lot about oxen as a kid, with Paul Bunyon and whatnot, but not so much anymore. It's never an animal you would see at the zoo. Why is that? Have you thought about it?
An ox is not an animal borne of God. Nothing is born an ox.
An ox is simply a bull that has been castrated. Farmers would castrate the young bulls because this allowed them to control them. It made them docile, so the rampaging bull was now a mindless worker that did as it was told.
You want to put a harness on a bull? Good luck! But once you cut his balls off and he becomes an ox, he'll do whatever you ask.
Reminds me a lot of what's been happening in our society lately.
