Let me first say that im not good with computers at all.

The problem i have is that my internet connection goes in and out every now and then. This pretty much makes it impossible for me to play online games, not to mention its really annoying. Is there any way to fix this?

Im using a Linksys 2.4 Ghz wireless-G connection. The main connection is upstairs while my room is downstairs, if that makes any difference.

Call your internet service provider to check out what's happening. Maybe you forgot to pay a bill or you used up too much bandwidth. I had a similar problem until I called and they told me my Rogers e-mail account was spamming their servers and used up too much bandwidth. But I -never- had a Rogers e-mail account.

Have your ISP ping your modem and see if they get any packet loss. I had a few of those today and it was messin the gamers up. Like they could browse just fine, but games are more sensitive I guess to the constant connection and if you take a packet drop it'll screw you up worse than slow ping times.

No, my room mate has the same problem. It's something with the wireless settings. I'm hard-wired into the router and it works perfectly, my other room mate has the same wireless card in the laptop and it works fine. I fixed something like it before and I don't remember how. All I can tell you is to check the connection settings.
