My phone is getting crazy hot just doing the most basic of things like browsing the web or taking calls. It feels like it's burning my hands while using it. I'm returning it.

Sounds like a bad unit, was watching an unboxing video yesterday and they guy made a point of saying after using it for a while that it doesn't get hot. Very odd.

As for the dull colours, did you change the saturation setting under display settings? There are two options I think, normal and vibrant. The vibrant one looks like it makes colours quite a bit more saturated.

I'm returning it to Amazon. Now I got a nano sim and they disabled my micro sim so I can't go back to my OPO without going back to T-Mobile and getting another micro sim right?

I keep one of these things around for moving my nano SIM between phones.

Real tempted to sell off my Note 4 and grab this. I realize it's largely a lateral trade, but the thought of just having something new appeals to me. Talk me out of it!

Camera will be worse and you won't have a stylus, but at least you'll get software updates.

Anybody else never get an "we're assembling it" email?
The order tracker says its being built but Ive learned to never trust that trash.

Multiple reps telling me different things. One says its not finished, one says the order is fucking processing, one says its waiting to be shipped. Customer service for this company is trash. I considered getting the moto care but FUCK all that, after I get my phone I never want to deal with them again. Customizing isnt worth this. (but 64Gb was...)

ha. just game related stuff. i always forget to deactivate it. i'm sure i'll forget again and just contact CS for each one when i plan reinstall lol.

and the 2nd CS i talked to actually knew about the phone i guess or just happened to see it was being shipped soon. their online status page is so slow lol.

also i'm probably going to need a case. my hands be dirty from work. don't want to get the back all black ;x

Eyes up people, Mine just showed up even though it listed Monday as the deliver date. Feels tiny compared to the Nexus 6 until I set them side by side the size difference is minuscule.

Just received my Moto X Pure that I ordered through Moto Make a bit after it was available. The Moto website said to expect it Monday, but it's here now. Still sounds like there's Issues with Sprint though, so who knows if I'll even be able to use it.

Yeah it might just be a bad unit. I did try changing that setting and the colors still seem way off with a yellowish tint.

Unless I missed it, there is no S6 Edge in that video. The phones he compares sizes to are the Nexus 6 and the older Moto X. Also, elsewhere, they might be comparing the S6 Edge Plus, which is larger, and that photo is a bit deceiving, as the phones are not level.

Heads up to us fellow 64 GB order people. People are saying after formatting and everything they are only left with 50 GB of space...which is a lot less than I expected. I expected to have at least 5 GB extra.

Either moto fucked up the 64s or they really need 14 GB to set up a phone which seems...highly unlikely.

Yes I know 64 isnt exactly 64 GB but compared to the 32 dropping down 28GB after setting it up which is a 12.5% reduction, to be equivalent to the 64GB it should have dropped to 56 GB instead. Bah

I'm soooooo tempted to get this.

Thing is, I have a Note 2 with cyanogenmod lollipop running on it, and it's still quite snappy and doesn't feel slow at all.

Considering all I do is GAF, Instagram, and Facebook, I'm not so sure I need this just yet.

Better camera and screen would be nice no doubt, but functionally, my Note 2 is still running pretty fast. What do you guys think?

So today I'm using it more like a normal day (I did download about 8 albums off my Google Music account in the morning) and I'm sitting at around 70% battery. My iPhone 5C would be at like 40% on that usage. Wasn't expecting such a big difference, was assuming the qHD screen would cause a few more problems but so far so good.

I dunno, I assumed it was an issue with the age of my 5C. It is two years old now. I also had as many things disabled on the iPhone so nothing was ever running in the background, haven't gotten around to doing that on my Moto X. So far it looks like I might not need to.

for me i think both phones are sort of unwieldy i like having the option to one hand a phone easily.

im personally waiting for nexus 5 2015 which should be announced soon. its pretty much moto x style but with a 1080p screen, fingerprint scanner and more compact. and while a specs sheet may say a 1080p screen is a negative absolutely not because its much better suited for a snapdragon 808 also this means the os will run smoother, games should run smoother and you use less battery also videos are mostly 1080p anyways so no scaling.

Just finished day one of sorta normal usage. Downloaded a few apps, downloaded a number of albums from Google Music, used Skype and Twitter a fair bit. Played lots of Pokemon Shuffle, read a few comics on it. 10am to 1:30am, no charging, at 18% battery. Caveat is I was on WiFi the entire time, was not using cellular data.

I also keep the screen at around 10% brightness, which is plenty bright for me indoors.

I'm seeing people make similar complaints on Reddit. Sounds exactly like the Nexus 6.

If that's the case, I'm gonna return it and be done with Moto. Probably pick up the Note 5 as well. Or wait for the the Huawei Nexus 6.

Definitely an error. My G went from Memphis to NYC then said it was back to Memphis but showed up on my doorstep in NY the next day.
