I'm having an issue with the mail app on my iphone 4 ever since I put ios 5 on it.. It opens, my accounts are all setup (2 google, 1 aim, and 1 hotmail/microsoft) and none of them load in the app. It works fine when I use safari/icab browser.

I've restored from backup twice now, reentered my email information and restarted my phone a number of times.
The app load, but no mail shows up, not even the accounts.
Dunno what to do.

Help?

Stupid Apple ID.

iCloud wants me to use my email address as my login, but Apple ID won't let me change it to that because an account is already associated with it. (Yes, my account.)

Geez, it got about 30% through the download and now it's just sitting here. I suppose the servers are getting their asses handed to 'em at the moment, lol.

Stopping and restarting it seems to do the trick. Downloading quite nicely now.

Anyone else get queasy when it said it could take up to an hour to install? WHAT AM I GOING TO DO FOR AN HOUR? [/iPhoneJunkie]

Anyone else in the UK just getting the Lion Recovery Update?

nope, sometimes it's a .0.x version up - very very tiny change between release to devs + itunes push.
Ah, cool. Used to OS X updates :)

i'm rebooting to Lion to download the system updates just to mess with everyone's speeds. i already have the iOS5 GM installed :p

shit this is like trying to get a look at pamela andersons titties back in the 14.4k days

Everyone here trying out iOS 5 for the first time is gonna be really happy.

myself, I'm now excited to see third party apps take advantage of icloud and new iOS 5 APIs.

It'll say your software is up to date.

I still can't update my apps from the App Store. FUUUUUUU
The question is, is it really up to date or should I force install the retail release anyway (by downloading IPA and using shift+restore click in itunes)

Is there a way to update to iOS5 on a different computer than my phone is normally synced with without losing all of my information?

I backed it up on this computer but I don't want to lose everything to update.

Anyone?

It is really up to date. It's the same build.

I have no reason to believe Apple would be trolling us like this. rofl
