try this. add your email address as the alternative email addresses in that link above.

then save it.

Then click edit on 'Apple ID and Primary Email address'

Put your email address in there and click save changes
 
Mine is actually going faster than normal. I only selected download, instead of download and install, because I have to get to class in about an hour. I don't think that would have any affect on speed though.
 
can anyone with ios5 GM/retail on their phone PLEASE run the software update and tell me what it says?

well shit. looks like i need to download the retail release and restore to that, my GM download from yesterday is tossing a "unable to check for update" error.

anyone got a link to the firmware from apples site?

Belgium. Have a pretty good connection, although there's one speedier option, but it's €100/month for just internet.
Right now I pay €83/month for internet & digital TV. :)

Yeah, after all the betas, I'm just ready for apps to FINALLY be fully compatible. That and now everything will work how it should.

By the way, everything is live now, folks. Go download to your heart's desire and enjoy the splendor of the new OS.

LOL No, now you don't have to deal with trying to figure out what's new, what isn't, etc. Just activate iCloud and go. Thanking god I did the beta so I didn't spend a couple days trying to learn everything new.
 
I guess this is the last ever big (in one go) update for iOS before '6, because after this it will be done in smaller chunks. Still, it's taking forever and has been stuck on 17 minutes for ages :D
 
Finally showing up here, I was already resigning myself to being trolled for a while more with the 4.3.5 message.
 
I'm download 5.0 on my phone now and it's saying i should do it on my machine that has all my apps since it's going to delete all of them...hopefully i won't be fucked later. lol
 
Mine won't even let me update. It says there is a server error. I had about 30% downloaded and it just stopped and now I can't even get it started anymore.

My GM shows the same. Don't worry about it. The builds are the same.

edit: actually I don't think we have to ever update again after this
 
Download speed just shot back up. :D Guess I'll just be late helping a friend move her TV and hook up all her consoles, etc. >.>
 
I asked this before but I don't think I ever got an answer... does the iCloud support for documents include the Mac version of Pages or just iPad/iPhone?

i thought it sync'd both - so that the docs you edit on your computer show up on your iphone and vice-versa?

I think only ipad/iphone I don't see any mention of the desktop apps. It would be nice to have this and will undoubtable be updated in the future
 
I restarted again since mine was at 60 minutes left and even though it went back down to zero, it's DL so fast now that I'm almost to where I was already within 2-3 minutes. LOL
