Ya they dont let you put it in a folder. It is supposed to act as a folder of sorts on its own and have all the magazines you buy in it. But since I dont plan to buy any magazines its kinda annoying. I just put it on its own page.

With iOS I think you can set custom sounds for texts, I dunno about alerts.

I haven't gotten around to making custom sounds for anything outside of ringtones yet.

You can do it. Drag two apps together to make a new folder, then quickly drag newsstand into it while the animation is still going. You won't see the tiny newsstand icon in the folder, but it'll be in there.

Custom sounds for alerts and texts. FINALLY!

Still cant figure out how to get the George Takei ringtone to show up in iOS 5 though. Worked on 4, but wont on 5. Grr.


Also, how do I get movies to show up under home sharing? I have everything on my Mac set to share, and can access all the music, but none of the tv shows or movies show on my iPad or iPhone.

is it the new (current) app? Or the old crappy one? New one has been rock solid for me. Old one was unusable for over a year IMHO.

in regards to alerts/ringtones, AFAIK you can set ringtones to most iOS default alerts.. mail, messages, ringers, etc. you CAN NOT though I believe set ringtones to alerts/notifications from apps (unless of course the app gives you that option). This is because the app developers have the option of using their own sound as the notification (first time I realized this was Carcasonne)

Yeah, I did it and it worked, it doesn't show up in the folder mini icons preview, but it's in there. However.. do not press it when it's inside, will crash your phone. I was stupid enough to be curious lol.

I think you are suffering my and many other people's issues
