I'm probably the only one who noticed or cares about this, but I must say, one of the best things about iOS 6 is the fact that they've finally managed to 'fix' how folder closing works. Before, when a folder was expanded you had to either tap on the icon or anywhere outside of the linen area, to get the damn thing to close. This was frustrating sometimes since a swipe wouldn't register to close it, even though I felt that was the most natural way to 'shut' the folder. Now it works exactly like that, you just smoothly swipe up or down to literally 'push' the split segment of the screen back to the original position, closing the gap. Feels good. :]
Next step would be having a swipe up or down on a folder icon simply opening up the folder with that expanding animation.
But man, iOS 6 has been disappointing overall. So many obvious things they could/should be doing that i'm sort of perplexed as to why they're not. Even with something like Siri, they're not pushing it enough.
Spotlight's a good example. That POS basically hasn't been updated since it's reveal. Wait, that's not true, now when you search for an app it also lists the folder you've put it in on the far right. :lol How inconsequential of a thing to add, when they still haven't even gotten the basics of spotlight in the iOS version. Things like calculator capabilities, or defining a word, or just instantly searching wiki/google from the spotlight, have been in there for many, many years on the OS X side of things. Spotlight could've really been an amazingly useful thing that I use daily, but due to what's lacking above, it's just something I rarely ever use.
