6MB is nothing (Mekarama) and of course 1GB is a lot.In today's age, 215 MB is nothing. I'd have a lot more games on my device if it wasn't for a bunch that are 1+ GB.

Anybody playing Teeny Titans? Thinking about picking it up since it sounds like a great take on the Pokemon gameplay.
If it's about the name, it's due to trademark issues.

HyperRogue - $2.99

I played this on PC, and it's awesome. Very unique world and mechanics, combat is more position-based puzzler than regular roguelike combat
Ha. Yeah, wrote about it on my blog a few months back.Ahah, somehow I knew you'd talk about this one
But while HyperRogue's combat may be simple but surprisingly tactical, its world is anything but simple. The landscape spreads out in a circular plane of interlocking tiles, extending outwards from the red-brick crossroads. But this is no normal space; it's a place of distorted distances and looping paths that extend into infinity and straight lines that somehow never intersect, a non-Euclidean world of adjacent biomes where retracing your steps is a trying task
Undying sand worms roam the parched desert, forcing you to flee rather than fight. Walls shift with each step in the living caves. Each step erases the floor behind you in the land of eternal motion. Enter the mirror world, and you'll be accompanied by clones of yourself. Each new land you discover has its own unique quirks and inhabitants, from one where safe crossing relies on avoiding dangerous tiles through minesweeper-style rules, to the oceans where pirates and sharks lurk.
Teeny Titans dev here -- happy to field some questions about the game if anyone has any. Would also love to hear some GAF feedback if anyone picks it up!
This game was definitely a labor of love, and it's also a big one. You can easily sink in 12+ hours or more.
I am SO close to buying it...But is the battle system as slow as the stream made it seem? The collecting and "grinding" of it seems right up my alley, but the battle looked like it dragged out a bit. Maybe it was just the demo battle that looked like that?
Since I'm interested in Tiny Teen Titans, I decided to play Attack the Light - Steven Universe, which I bought at a sale but never played because I'm not familiar with the show.
Pretty decent stuff! Bodes well for Tiny Teen Titans. It's actually surprisingly challenging, which is very nice. I like the Mario & Luigi esque battle system. It's RPG lite, but I'm enjoying it. Might grab Tiny Teen Titans tonight.

Just picked it up myself. The dev walkthrough on TA sold me on it, seems like there's a ton of depth to the combat and it looks super polishedAnybody playing Teeny Titans? Thinking about picking it up since it sounds like a great take on the Pokemon gameplay.
Have a question for Cheez: can you unlock new attacks/abilities for your figures?
I read that Tian Quest got an update about a week ago that had some bug fixes and included a "low graphics" mode that helps with performance.
Anyone had a chance to try it out, I'm curious if it's able to run a bit better, especially in older devices like my iPad Mini 2.
Rodeo Stamped is fantastic and I rarely say that, but it is, and it is addicting.
The idea is to manage a satellite business, taking on contracts to earn money and reputation. You start with one satellite and a couple of instruments and can launch a maximum of six after earing sufficient credits. Various scientific instruments will need to be equipped to fulfil missions. The deep space photography missions are fairly straitforward as line of sight is less of an issue. Earth survey and orbital junk removal are trickier, usually requiring some maneuvering, which consumes costly fuel. I enjoy taking down the space junk with the kinetic laser, though it's a slow process - gradually degrading its orbit until it burns up in the atmosphere.
In addition don't forget to monitor condition of your satellites, which can overheat and run out of fuel or battery power. If not careful your satellite can become stranded in orbit and susbsequently become a junk removal mission. Not good for enhancing reputation. Even worse it may disintegrate resulting in a heavy fine. Also be sure to keep those solar panels facing towards the sun to maintain batteries. And did I mention hull degradation from impacting space debris? This can be repaired by rendezvous with a space staion, where other instruments can also be bought and equipped.
I've been playing Teeny Titans since yesterday afternoon, and it's seriously got its hooks in me.
For the record, I'm generally not a "collect 'em all" gamer, nor do I watch the Teen Titans cartoon outside of watching a few episodes with my daughter. But for some reason, the Teeny Titans trailer just seemed really appealing to me so I made a relatively impulse decision to dive in. And I don't regret it at all.
The animations and overall quality are top notch. It literally feels like you are playing a cartoon. And the music is strangely amazing, especially the victory song. I found myself humming it to myself last night when I was brushing my teeth without even thinking about it. The general humor is similar to that of the show, which generally makes me chuckle.
The actual gameplay is great. I love the combat design of the filling bar and the strategy of switching between characters to release powers and to avoid gauges getting reset. So, for example, one of my figures has a pretty powerful attack that can be unleashed pretty early as the combat bar fills up, but selecting it takes a small charge-up that can get canceled out by the enemy if he gets hit. However, one of my other characters has an early powerup that trades life for a quicker bar fill. So I will switch to that one, use the power, and then switch real quick to the other character which means I can usually click on the attack and get through the charge up period before the enemy attacks. Booyah!
That probably doesn't make any sense unless you play it, but these kind of tactics are all over the combat, and I find it surprisingly deep in terms of execution.
In terms of non-combat play, there are a ton of missions and sidequests hanging around, so I am exploring the bejeebus out of the map trying to complete the missions. Generally, the return for completing quests is money, which allows you to buy more figures and mod chips for your figures. It all feels rewarding, and I love building up my figure collection and buying the rare figures.
I'll have to put in a few more hours to see if things get repetitive over time, but after 2+ hours or so with it so far, I'm loving the game.
When you put your info in, you then get a screen telling you the price and asking you to confirm the purchase.I'm noticing this really annoying trend where games show adverts and have an IAP option to "remove ads," but when you press it it just brings up the password/touchID screen without actually telling you how much it's going to charge you.
Is there some way to check the price of something before you actually buy it in cases like this? Just bizarre that Apple would allow it, and there's no IAPs listed on the App Store.

The entire screen is basically a joystick. Just hold anywhere and dragHow does Hyperburner control? Is it with tilting or a virtual stick? Or where to tap either side for left and right?
Rodeo stampede I Yeti Mountain was one of my favourite games of last year and they've made another great one here.
The coin doubler is nearly £5 in the UK. I dunno if I can quite justify that.
They mission timer seems a little long as well. Coins you get from long runs is a bit low in times. You really do have to wait for the 'zoo visits' to bump your money up.
The actual pure gameplay loop though is very very addictive. Even if you're not getting many coins or new animals from a run, it's just fun to play.
I'm sure stuff will get balanced out pretty soon.
.
Hyperburner Amazing. Such a great twitch game. Well presented and stylish. It's actually relaxing to play. There's a constant trickle of progress as well. You don't feel like you just hit a wall in the first hour and then bang your head up against it for a long time before you get better (Super Hexagon). Love it love it love it.

Just got Perchang, so we'll see how I get on with that.
I have a hard time getting excited about *another* pixel art roguelike. Maybe it's just me (and it probably is) but the genre seems to be really overdone right now.

Not a roguelike. A trap-evading puzzle/runner. Has a surprisingly diverse variety of traps and hazardsI have a hard time getting excited about *another* pixel art roguelike. Maybe it's just me (and it probably is) but the genre seems to be really overdone right now.
Plant vs zombies doesn't surprise me since it already had trouble running on certain devices with iOS 9. Plus EA seems to only care about F2P going forward.Seems like Chaos Rings, Chaos Rings Omega, Chaos Rings II and now Plants vs Zombies have been removed from the App Store.
That's depressing. PvZ is an iPad and iOS classic.Seems like Chaos Rings, Chaos Rings Omega, Chaos Rings II and now Plants vs Zombies have been removed from the App Store.
Yup, shit. Can't believe they never patched it either. I much preferred it to the sequel :/That's depressing. PvZ is an iPad and iOS classic.
