Why not....? The Touch 6 has an a8 and the resolution and aspect ratio of iPhone 5.
The sixth generation iPod Touch features the new Apple A8 and Apple M8 motion co-processor chipset with 64-bit architecture which is similar to the chipset on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but it is slightly underclocked at 1.1 GHz (the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are clocked at 1.4 GHz). It has 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM, twice the amount as the previous generation iPod Touch.[5] Apple's Metal graphics technology is also compatible with the iPod Touch 6th generation.
Can you play it and tell us how it controls? I am at work right now and cant... :/
Xenoflare is right, did a little research and it should really work well on the Touch 6. It has the specs of the iPhone 6 in an iPhone 5 shell. Its a whooping download of 17Gb, took me forever to download.
If that's the case, there's a decent chance something like ifunbox can sideload it if you download it on itunes on to your PC. I've used ifunbox to easily install games restricted to iPhone 5S+ on my (non-jailbroken) iPhone 5 before, and they work fine. Apple's new refund policy is more lenient right? So you may be able to test if it launches with no risk if so, but you probably wouldn't know for sure if there was some weird bug down the road.
Isn't sideloading impossible now on iOS8? Unless you jailbreak that is.
Most recently I used to to try that F2P Jurassic World game out for a bit, and it worked fine on iOS8 (that was only ~3 months ago). So unless it's a really new thing, i think it's still fine. Maybe sideloading isn't the proper term, since the app is still encoded to your account and everything, ifunbox is just getting it on your device despite hardware restrictions. Though the moral warning says to not use it to install games that aren't signed to your account, so I think it'd be possible to do either still? Not sure.

I'm at work too sorry!
Happy to report that here I think they've nailed in the only manner they could. For those who look at the screen shots and worry because they can't see any virtual buttons, I think they shouldn't. The controls are there - placing your finger/thumb on the screen with highlight 4 "hot points" on the slice of bread (one on each corner) - then moving your finger in the direction of one (or two) of those hot points will select them and pushing your finger further in that direction will then begin to move/flip the slice in that direction. Push your finger further adds more momentum/speed to the movement and you move.
The controls are also "multi-touch" meaning that while one finger/thumb is holding the bread in one position, placing another finger/thumb will prepare and continue the bread's movement in that direction (almost like walking, but using fingers instead of legs)...
The controls are precise enough to allow you to begin to flip and then hold the slice in that position before making the next move.
Anyone know if I Am Bread is a direct port or if it's missing content? Surgeon Sim on iOS was very different compared to the PC version, fewer and different surgeries
The app description says 11 levels, I dont know how many the PC version has but it is a good way to start
Checking it out now, impressions in a few minutesJust read a few reviews of the PC version and it had 8 when it first came out so this must include those plus a few that were added later in updates. Still want to know about the controls considering the PC version sounds like it wasn't all that easy to control either.
Okay, so I Am Bread
Played the first level:
1) The big elephant in the room, the controls. I've found the controls are simultaneously easier and harder than the PC game. Easier, because you just swipe to move rather than controlling the individual corners and can automatically latch onto any surface within range. No need for finger twister, and simpler to move around. I think I might actually prefer this method
But the streamlined nature also removes some of the precision of the other versions, since you can't move and grab with the individual corners.
I have to say, despite that, the game controls surprisingly well. I was able to beat the first level on my first try. Couldn't do that on PC
2) Content-wise, there are few tweaks. One, there's no grip meter, which is a bit disappointing. In the other versions, you could only hang from something for X amount of time, so it really forced you to learn how to play better and perfect the best route through a level. Here, this is still a speedrunning element, but I feel the lack of grip meter does remove some of the urgency and challenge
When you start, there are only 7 levels available. (Where did you see 11, Frost? App description says 8). That's the same as the PC version, with the 8th being the epilogue that unlocks at the end.
But it's also missing some content: the sandbox mode, Rampage mode, Zero-G mode, other bread types to play as. Those were all extra things, and Rampage and Zero-G really needs the precision of individual corners to work, so I don't mind.

So honestly, this is a great port. I had feared the controls would be butchered, but they're actually really good. A bit faster and more arcadey than the other versions, but it's easy to play
The first Multiverse update will get 3 new major additions.
EASY MODE
First, the long-awaited 'easy mode'. We've been strongly against that in the past as it would change the whole spirit of the game.
But we think that it's a shame some people are not able to experience our game or get quite frustrated because of its evil difficulty. So this issue has been addressed.
GAS GIANT RINGS
They were missing for far too long, so we thought that adding rings around the gas giants would be a great cosmetic addition. Well, maybe it's not only cosmetic.
CEMETERY GATES GAME MODE
The most important addition is a new game mode called 'Cemetery Gates'.
In this mode, you will encounter the last 10 space ships you have lost during previous runs, right where you've left them. You'll be able to scavenge the resources that you've left inside or simply take over the ship and continue your adventure.
This mode will open up new strategies and possibilities.
It will also boost the early game, that is is sometimes slow, as you'll find more ships around the starting point (remember all those runs prematurely ended because of bad luck?).
Multiverse I - Cemetery Gates is a free update that will release early October on PC, iOS and Android.
An awesome game gets even awesome-rOMG OMG OMG!!!!!!

1.1 GB installed

Transistor won't download to the touch 6, believe me I tried.
Hopefully they update it to work.
I understand it's more than capable to run it, I was only passing along the fact that it wouldn't download from the App Store on my iPod touch 6.
I get the "Cannot Download. This app is not compatible with your device" message.

Think they might just top Frogmind as the best post-launch support
TrueFrogmind is preparing something special as well with the Level editor.

Thanks. Need to make another painful choice.

One of the ideas for future updates that Peiffert is playing with is a cloning device. It allows you to place an embryo of yourself in a derelict ship. When you die, your clone will grow into an adult and youll be able to continue your game from there. Now thats a new game+
Only slightly related to this thread but that Star Wars BB8 toy plus app looks freaking fantastic.
I know what to tell Santa for my son this year...

Not sure if this is the right thread, me and a lady friend want to play some fun multiplayer iOS games over wifi etc.
What are some really neat multiplayer games that are super fun, while sitting on the couch next to each other and playing on our devices?
It's worth to note that I have an archaic old iPhone 4 and she has an iPhone 6.
I'd appreciate listing any (multiplayer) games. Thanks

Can you ever die in Transistor?
I'm pretty far I think in the game already...never died...at most you lose a power for 1 or 2 events (meaning finding 1-2 columns).
Besides the fact it's a bit easy so far (not a problem for me, you still have to think and use your powers etc...combat is really good) yesterday I played till 3 am....started to dig into the plot and basically whenever I told myself...last save and I'll sleep, a new plot revelation came and I couldn't stop.
I'm starting to have an idea of what's going on finally and who is who and where I am...but still not sure.
Great stuff...plays wonderfully on both iPad and iPhone and syncs like a charm.
Good to hear that you are enjoying it. No, you can't die (as far as I can tell), when your life meter gets to zero you lose an ability like you said making it a lot harder. And the game tells things in a very subtle yet interesting way. And yes combat is fantastic. Innovative and thoughtful. Also want to mention that the game feels like it was made for iOS since the controls are better here than on PC, I find them really easy to control. For 5$ you can't do much better than this IMO.
Okay, why is no one talking about that new Power Ping Pong game? A premium game published by Chillingo, beautiful graphics, $4.99, zero IAPs, and online multiplayer. 2nd Featured spot, too.

Strangely under the radar atm, gonna wait till I hear more imps before I'll even think about diving
Yeah I love SuperGiant way of storytelling....both in Bastion and here.
I only briefly tried Transistor long ago on PC so I can't really say...but controls are just flawless on iOS.
Seems really like it was built up on iOS.
And I'm using the standard controls (while in Bastion I used the virtual joystick).
Just a follow up to a previous statement of mine...I was wrong.
It turns out you can actually die in Transistor
