That was Mrs Robot's first game. She had a stable in there. We went with the family game so no Minors or Occupations.
Caylus. Should be superrobot or Diesel Pioneer. Can't remember if it uses Game Center or not.
I won't speak for everyone, but as far as I'm concerned Dominion on iOS is dead and buried at this point. Goko has the exclusive rights to the game and they've shown us absolutely no reason to get our hopes up. Their complete abortion of a launch last year (video footage here) coupled with the fact that it at the time it was like $70 for everything made me lose all hope and move on. Checking their site, I see it's down to $45 for everything now, which is better, but if I'm going to spend that much on a game it has to be SLICK, and Goko Dominion is thoroughly average at best.
They could blow me away tomorrow and release a killer iPad app, at which point I may be reluctantly throwing them some money, but I would be flabbergasted to see that happen.
Agricola is my wife's favorite game, and was actually the third game that got her introduced to board gaming. We went from Catan, to Carcassone, to Agricola, and she hasn't looked back since. The game is relatively easy to learn, and it has a lot of strategy possible in it (unless you believe in the "always get clay" metagame that seems to be popular lol), but I hope that Playdek has a good tutorial for it because I know that some people get overwhelmed when they see all of the options. It's one of those games that at first glace seems really complicated, but when you have someone going through the motions of what to do, it is more complex simple then complicated.
The one case it is appropriate though!
It was fast so that was nice! Nightfall is getting deleted as soon as I need room.

Is there a particular reason why you dont like Nightfall? I think it has some issues, but I also think it one of the best deckbuilders out there (2 player anyway) since it has so much interactivity and is very skill based.

Thanks for the reply. The website works through Safari on ipad (HTML5), but it definitely isn't very slick.
Edit: What would you pay for all of those expansions? $45 seems reasonable to me.

3-2? Wow. Not a lot of defence in that match. That's a crazy score. I love it.
$45 is pretty reasonable, as long as I'm paying for a solid product I can play on my iPad and there are lots of people to play.

How are all the NHex games going? Only 1 round left after this one, and then I will take the top 4 and do the finals.
About Eclipse, I just bought it, played the full tutorial, and then finished a game with two bots afterwards. I somehow managed to win that game, but I didn't research anything. I was severely short on money throughout the game, and couldn't afford to waste action points (influence?) for research, so I just skipped research entirely.
How vital is research against real players? Also, there's so many factions! Should I learn all of them?
I must say, the game is really fun, and looks beautiful. But what's up with the music? It's just a 1-minute track that keeps looping.

First of all, congrats on the win vs 2 AI in your first match, thats good.
Research can be extremely vital, or something you get to avoid through good Ancient Technology pickups. If your playing the right race, or playing a certain style of game, you can avoid researching all together (or just getting Monoliths), its not something that happens often though. Most games you will want either better guns, or one of the 3 advanced planet techs, or something to help defend though.
There is really just 7 factions, since all the human ones are the same, but thats still a lot. Id say they are all pretty easy to play right off the bat, except maybe Eradani or Draco, both of those are a little weird to play. You can probably jump into any match as any of the races and figure it out pretty quickly.
I like the music....its awesomely simple and not annoying so I can sit there and play a long game and it doesnt bug me, haha.

ROFL just brain-froze and majorly effed up my NS Hex game with Merc. I think our first 20-0 victory is coming soon, folks.

Ouch. Outpost vs NeoJungle sounds like a pretty hard match up though for NJ, they would need to be right on top of things to make that one work out.

End game VPs - can't remember how many though
2 points per. Astro has 40 materials to spend so I need a way to make up 8 points w/o attacking him. I would attack his Planta empire, but Mechanema and Hydran both have armies on my border ready to rip my guts out, so I enacted Plan B.

Yeah Astro has been killing it in a lot of games.
People need to start keeping their neighbors in check, haha. If the guy beside you has an assload of points maybe try to do something about that

Are you sure that's a game with Astro? I'm playing SMART against you and I just had a double terror. So I'm pretty sure that's your non-tourney game with me, unless Astro and I are playing the exact same game against you lol.
