Apple pulled the app; it was available for an hour or so iircSuperPac said:My wife is upgrade-eligible yet I am not even though she got her iPhone 4 later than I did. :\ Also, didn't AT&T say on Tuesday that they'd have a special "Upgrader" app available that day for the iPhone where you could order the new phone from the old? THEY LIED.
I'm gonna order the black 32GB, wife is getting the white 32GB. I knew I picked the right woman to marry when she asked me why people were complaining about the 4S 'not being the iPhone 5.'
dallow_bg said:At first AT&T text said I was eligible fo early iPhone upgrade.
Now the text says I'd have to pay the extra $250.
What gives?
Yeah, agreed.Vik_Vaughn said:You need to get on the phone and get up in someone's ass.
Vik_Vaughn said:Anybody know Verizon's pre-order plans? I signed up to get emails but I'm wondering if there's better info floating around. It'd be nice to just deal with this when I wake up in the morning rather than have to deal with some 3:00AM crap, but I'm gonna do what I've gotta do.

Oh, and the phone isn't the subsidized price because they're doing the early upgrade after I took that screen cap.[/QUOTE]
Just making sure, but you know that those are for iPhone 4 and not iPhone 4S, right? I only mention it because this is the iPhone 4S thread and without you specifying, I just wanted to make sure in case you've made a mistake or something.
Otherwise ignore me :P

Smokey said:Alright need some advice here. I am an Android user. I have had the Evo OG since it's release date back in 2010. The phone is amazing. Huge screen, great camera, 4G speed. I'm on Sprint of course and their Unlimited Plan truly is a beast, and I take advantage of it quite often.
That said...I've had the phone for a year and a half. I can pre-order the 4s tomorrow. I have never used an iphone...ever. Androided up since birth. Apart of me feels like it'd be a downgrade in some ways. Smaller screen, no 4g speeds...I'm conflicted here.
So...should I make the jump?

diffusionx said:I still have one more "new every 2" credit, henceforth referred to as NE2. My contract is up in January. I am eligible for upgrade pricing now but have to wait until then for NE2. Any way Verizon will give me the credit early?
I'm just doing to buy it from apple. No more contracts.TimeKillr said:So I'm wondering...
It's going to be available in Canada on the 14th.
I'm with Fido. My contract expires in 2013 (I made changes to it in 2010, but got my 3GS in 2009).
Now I don't know if Fido will let me upgrade to the 4GS for a normal fee (like 200 or something) - I gotta call, but I have a feeling they'll tell me to fuck off.
So should I just buy an unlocked one from Apple at 650? It's a TON of money but at this point my 3GS is slowing down to a fucking crawl after a day and the battery's gotten shitty. I'm scared of what iOS5 is going to do to it...
That's what I'm least looking forward to. I'm upgrading from a RAZR and I'm used to tactile buttons and can't type for shit on my girlfriend's iPhone 4.unrenowned said:Unlike everyone else (it seems) I kind of like the 4S and I would easily upgrade from my 3GS.
However I really suck at typing on the 3GS and I can only assume I will have the same problems with the 4S since the screen is the same size?
How do you people manage not hitting the adjacent letter when composing texts?
Even with 2 years of practice I still suck at it.

Really? That's worse than my AT&T bill, discounted at $76. :/Narpas Sword0 said:What's your question TommyT? all Sprint smartphones face that $10 surcharge. That's why their unlimited data press release quotes the iPhone price at $79.99/mo even though their commercials say it's 69.99/mo

Sorry sorry. Just wanted to make sure you weren't trying to put in a pre-order for the 4S!TommyT said:... really? REALLY? -_-
The point is to show that it seems you're having to get another data plan (Premium in this case) on top of your Unlimited Plan.

I wonder what I could get it down to with a Sprint Uni of Iowa employee discount?

K thanks. And pre-ordering starts on apple.com at 3 am right?omgkitty said:Do it through Apple. Verizon's site is absolute shit and it's basically the same thing. Either way you will call a number to activate. It's super easy on any phone.

I had a bad power cube for my 3Gs, and i finally called Apple after the warranty expired and they replaced it no questions asked. They even covered the OVERNIGHT shipping both ways! They shipped me a new cube with return shipping tag. Awesome.
Smokey said:Low blow! I'm just asking a question
Never used a Iphone and very limited experience with Ipod. I've had my EVO and used a Zune for my mp3 needs. So if I make this jump I'm diving into the "Apple ecosystem". Is this a case of "I don't know what I'm missing" since I've never used an Apple "I" anything? Everything would be completely foreign to me...a little intimidating.
zmoney said:K thanks. And pre-ordering starts on apple.com at 3 am right?

Do I switch out the SIM card on my own then?
homing said:Reckon the 4S will sell a huge amount like iPhone 4 numbers or be mediocre, predictions?
Vik_Vaughn said:Can't you get like $200 for your 3GS? If so, you're not really getting that worse of a deal than getting a contract price.
TommyT said::lol you still haven't said why you're wanting to upgrade. Just because you think you're missing out?
In all honesty though, if your phone does what youneedwant to it do, then why would you get a new phone? That said, you can always sell it and, assuming you can upgrade, make money if you don't like it. Or just return it and go back.
I'm somewhat intimated as well, but I've waited for Sprint to get it and I've used my girlfriends iPhone 4 as well as using my own Touch 4G. My current Blackberry does what I need it to do, but I feel that I'd enjoy and be able to do more with the 4S which is why I'm upgrading on my terms. This is of course opposed to jumping ship from Sprint and going through all that breaking-contract mess to just have the iPhone.
