Can you back this up with some proof?

Not trying to call you out or say that you're lying. Just genuinely curious.
sorry for being so late!

Okay, cool. Sprint peeps seem to be the first to get tracking numbers.

I ordered through AT&T about 3:30am, my card has been charged, but no tracking number yet.

Y2Kev, which carrier?

What kind of monthly data rates have people run up on their phone?

I've had a 6gb per month plan forever, and I've never even touched 1/4rd of that.

Anyone preorder from Apple Canada and have any update of their order yet?
Thankgiving holiday today might reasonably delay the shipment 1 day?

i rarely go over 400mb.
Yeah I found that when I used to stream podcasts and such, I'd still FIGHT to get as high as 1 gb usage. But that was a few years ago... my iPhone 3G has had a broken headphone jack for years now, so I haven't streamed much recently. I'd love to know if people are using much more than back I did in 2009.

Obviously a tether will run up usage...

I guess I'm on wifi 80% of the time. probably the most data usage I see is streaming stuff while commuting

Yeah, it still says ships by the 14th so it wouldnt surprise or kill me if that was the actual ship date. Curious if there have been updates going out already.

That'd be annoying :P

I ordered from a carrier, and at least at Fido, they aren't delivering. Pick up in store. I hope that means the 14th....

Well... hell! First come first served my ass!

But I did order two phones... :)
I woke up at 3AM to order too. Apple could be shipping based on geography...I dunno.

Hearing that Verizon reps are now telling people no preorders are promised for the 14th. Also a verizon rep responded on their fourms in a topic about 4S preorders

Thanks to the community for posting. @ timmmc : Well that is great that you are getting the new iPhone – it is a great phone and you will not be disappointed! In regards to some of your questions: If you pre-order a phone the delivery is not guaranteed by the 14th. Your price plan and unlimited data will move over if you do an upgrade to the iPhone. Finally, I would suggest upgrading through the Verizon Wireless website. I hope this helps. Thanks.

Feels bad man.....was hoping to have this phone on Friday like my order confirmation email even said.

EDIT: Many are even being told they can only guarantee it will arrive by the 21st lol

I ordered the second the site went live around 340 EST and my order still says processing and due by 14th of October. A hold is on my card though.

It comes via UPS here in Canada, right? Does UPS deliver on Saturday?

Starting to think I should have ordered through the apple store.

I picture a bunch of Apple-branded Boxes stacked up in first class on some airplane... while my iPhone, naked and shivering, sings "Somewhere Out There" in the bowels of a rickety old ship.

When I ordered from Apple I entered my brother's number because he used my upgrade recently so I'm taking his.

What's the easiest way to get it working on my line when it arrives? Can I just put my current iPhone 4 sim in before activating? Hopefully I don't have to call ATT Friday, because that will probably be difficult.

Hate to repost this for the fourth time, but I'm just really paranoid. I've been told that putting my current micro sim in before activating should solve this since the one that comes in the phone will be pre provisioned for the line that upgraded.

Yeah I'm trying to figure out what the hell I did that month! I think a lot of business travel?

Anyway, even that spike isn't half of my data allocation.

When I was out of town for a week and nowhere near wifi (and using Maps A LOT), my data usage spiked big time as well.

Yeah....I don't even know, to be honest. I guess some HBO Go, a little bit of Netflix, a few streaming podcasts. They're going to have to pry my unlimited from my cold, dead hands.

Is it that hard for wireless carriers to build a better 3g infrastructure. I rather have that than LTE.

I mean, I just want unlimited data for all the money they are taking from me each month already. Dang Verizon.

That's how much data I've used so far this month, and I'm only halfway through the billing period. I couldn't live without unlimited data.
Tether?

Why do all these carriers force me into 450 minute packages to buy an iphone? We need a mobile pricing revolution. I'll never come close to using 450 minutes per month. Probably around 150 to 200 at most. Just want data and texting with minimal minutes.

I'm pretty optimistic that will happen very soon, if there's one thing US lawmakers are great at it's holding massive corporations to account and making sure they treat their customers fairly.

I'm kind of anxious/pissed that everybody on Sprint seems to be getting shipping conformations and tracking numbers when I'm still stuck on the "It's in the warehouse, bitch boy" message. I ordered mine between 4 and 5am, too.

Grrr.

I'm going to be really interested to see how Sprint holds up once all these new iPhone users pile onto their network.

Really depends on how many new users they are gaining out of this or if it is just existing smart phone users.
