strange people have problems with data on at&t. That part is usually solid. The drop calls though... think that might be more of a flaw with iphones in general. Been on AT&T pretty much all my life (well used to be cingular), and only since i started using iphones that I've gotten dropped calls.

IMO caseless is the way to go.

My iPhone 4 bumper scratched the frame. I've been going case-less ever since I found out and just use front & back protectors. Still in mint shape, otherwise.

I get drunk. I'm terrible with phones. If I'm dropping this kind of money on a phone. I'm protecting it.

My bumper ravaged my steel band too.

If anyone really feels the need for a case, I'd recommend anything but the bumper.

I ordered 2 of these from Best Buy today for the wife and I. Both of them are the black 32G models, but I may swap out for white for when we pick them up and if one is available. I couldn't justify a 64G model because I've never ran into storage issues on my 32G 3GS.

I just got an email from Sprint saying my iPhone order has been put on hold and I need to call Sprint to give them additional info. I thought it was some kind of scam email at first but it seems legit. mute switch is slightly different location on GSM iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s. 4s matches the cdma iPhone 4.

not a big deal for most cases but the old, original bumpers and some thin cases won’t fit because of this.

Oh, I'm assuming it's just a slight shift in placement as opposed to something like appearing on the other side of the phone, right? Didn't know that, sorry for the misinformation.

So when I ordered my 4S I entered my brothers number because he used my last upgrade so I get his. When I get it how do I get it to work with my line? Calling ATT this week is gonna be a nightmare. Can I do this online? Maybe I'll hit an ATT/Apple store.

Edit: that pic is a replacement back panel. I had a transparent and an aluminum on mine.

Yup. It's not official but it has full Apple logos and copyright notices on it. I snapped one up last year when they first came out as they might've pulled them on plagiarism or whatever, but they're still selling them here.

That should fit just fine, it's just a back plate. But according to some reviews on Amazon, it does interfere with antenna reception.

After them putting my iPhone on hold for who knows what reason, I called and gave them the inane information they wanted and they said everything should be fine now but my damn iPhone is still on hold. When I called back, the operator told me when things finally do correct themselves, that I won't get my iPhone until 3 or 4 days later after the 14th. I've been on the phone for an hour and a half now and now I'm waiting for an eternity trying to connect to someone again.

On the subject of cases, I picked up my second Incase Snap today, and it has a bit of a creeking sound when pressure is put on the sides which my old one never had. Is it worth try to exchange it at the apple store where I bought it, or is it common?

If you line up and get there early, yes. If you just randomly show up day of, no.

Best bet is to find an Apple store and camp it, as they get the most inventory by FAR.

I might be able to do that if it's just a case of showing up a bit before the store opens and not a case of having to line up overnight.

How does it work when you buy from an Apple store, anyway? Do they have access to the various providers' systems and are they able to give you upgrade discounts, activate your phone, etc.?
