Is everyone getting shipping confirmation from North America? I ordered from Apple the minute it was online and I have nothing yet.

Mine is still hanging out in Kentucky. Been there since 9 am yesterday.

No, they just created/paid for the label. The location won't be updated until UPS scans it, which probably will be sometime later today considering it's 2nd Day Air.

I often send stuff with UPS through work and can drop off packages as late as 8pm for UPS to pick up for a next day delivery. Even then UPS doesn't always their tracking info until way later. Don't sweat it, it'll be alright.

I have a friend that works at a Sprint reseller but not a store actually owned by Sprint. He just sent word that Sprint aren't sending iphones to his store until Monday. I have to go all weekend with my shitty Droid. :(
 
Did anyone else do the eBay InstantSale for their iPhone 4? I was wondering what to expect as I claimed mine was in excellent condition, but who knows what quality they'll deem it as.

I won't get mine for 2-3 weeks according to Apple, and I don't even have a phone until then...
 
Still haven't gotten a shipping e-mail from Verizon, but on Verizon's website it says I'm still due to get it on the 14th.

I still need to pick out a case for my white iPhone as well.

So I bought that DealExtreme case for a few bucks that (I think) JAVK pointed out, along with 4 iPhone cables and a car USB adapter. First time using them.

Holy shit, I can't track any of my shipments. They're using some "intmail" service or some shit with a website that looks out of 2000, and that won't recognize my tracking number. I hope they'll eventually get here. I don't think they will in time though.

Still looking for cases. So far I really like both the SwitchEasy Nude and Incipio Feather, dunno which is better though.

I also like the Sena Kutu slip case, but it's so damn expensive.
 
I was planning on going screen protector-less today, but seeing the number of scratches on the screen protector has me going haha...fuuuuuuccck that, screen protector stays.

lol dealextreme doesnt give tracking numbers. if they do, they dont work. and also it takes about a month to arrive to north america. just so you know. it comes from china on a boat. 2 weeks MINIMUM. thats if your real lucky. everytime ive bought from them its 3-8 weeks.

Guess I better look for another case alongside it. Looking for something minimalistic that won't effect the camera.
 
Almost fainted when the women from T-Mobile told me that I would get my 4s not until February 2012. Then she realised that I should get it on Friday. :x

I don't even have a shipping-ID for the package from DHL. It "might" be there on Friday..

Semi-related, but wtf, does anyone else's iTunes not keep them logged in? I have to log in every time I launch iTunes now, it never used to be that way. Is this just me?
 
It's free worldwide shipping. What did you expect? haha but they are fairly reliable. It should arrive eventually. DEF not by friday. :)

I ordered 4 iPhone charging cables a while back too, and I think 3 of 4 of them worked. Always order extra in the case that you get a dud. Not worth returning anything with dealextreme due to the time it takes.
 
It's kind of weird...but AT&T is shipping me my phone and I haven't even been charged for it yet. Like I don't even have a pending charge in there. I see they pinged my account with two $1 charges around the time I ordered...but no charge for the phone itself.

Still no shipping email from Verizon, but I just called and the automated service says it has been shipped and will be received within 2 business days. I can now stop freaking out for no reason!
 
For anyone concerned about a siri jailbreak, we'll know for sure probably by saturday, depending on how iH8Snow goes when he gets his 4S. He said he's going to be checking for anything that might show that siri is hardware along with software, which would make a port impossible.

Saddening.

Was that an email you got? ARGGGG... I bet I won't see mine for another couple of weeks. If I don't have any confirmation of shipping by Thursday night, I wonder if it's possible to wait out Friday morning, get the phone at the AT&T store, and cancel my order. Still get the upgrade, etc.
 
Surprised my apple order still says preparing for shipment. Oh well, reference tracking shows it arrived in Hong Kong from Shenzen and is on time for Friday. Does Apple's site only show shipped after it arrives in the destination country?

I think people need to relax.. the first priority of everyone involved is to actually get as many devices shipped to people by Friday/Saturday.. and since these companies don't have very well developed processes for handling pre-orders a lot of manual work is done on the computing side of things, data entry by the 10's of thousands of customers.

And there's nothing you can do about it anyways.
 
Ordered my phone through ATT Wireless on 7th about 9am, and surprise surprise, I still haven't received my shipped notification.

My initial email said it'd deliver on the 14th, but I'm preparing myself to be disappointed. If only Apple's website wasn't being hammered when I was trying to order through them.

Have a quick question... I ordered my iphone 4s from Verizon, there was no option to get Apple Care+... Do you I get that before I open up my phone, or what?

You can get it at any time, even after an "accident." It is not like health insurance where you can't have pre-existing conditions.

Not AppleCare+ that needs to be gotten right when you buy the phone. However, they've extended the launch day purchasers an offer to buy it up until November 14
 
Checked my order status from my ATT order and it finally shipped through UPS today! I can't wait until I get my hands on my upcoming BLACK 32GB Iphone 4S!

For reference I ordered Friday night around 10:00pm XD!

I bought something from them. Granted I only paid $.99, I too had trouble tracking it as the site was blocked for some reason. I eventually got my package last night. Be patient. It'll come. It's prolly on a boat or something equally as slow.

I'm getting a 4S to get my girl off my back. As much as I want an even faster iPhone, it's going to be hell not having it jailbroken. I don't look forward to vanilla iOS anything.

I'm willing to bet that your phone would've been fine all along — the material that your screen protector is made of is nothing like iPhone glass. If anything, this is exactly what the screen protector manufacturers want consumers to think. "Look at all those scratches, gee whiz, I'm so glad I've been using this screen protector all along! I'll never go without one!"
 
So recently I walked into a jacuzzi with my iphone 4 in my pocket so of course I pre ordered the iphone 4S but I am still new to apple and I was wondering if its going to be easy to get all my apps back on my new phone when I get it. Is it just as easy as syncing my phone to itunes?
 
Launch Itunes and checked your purchased items or something like that, it'll show you all your apps, then you can just re-download them.

Still, every scratch that's on the protector was a potential scratch on the glass.

Yeah! I always had a Black Iphone ever since the OG one and never regretted it. White looks cheap and tacky. I never bought an Iphone with more than 16GB. I went with 32GB for the 4S because of the much improved 8MP camera and 1080P video recording warrants it!
 
A case/bumper is one thing, but I just couldn't imagine putting one of those plastic screen protector sheets on the iPhone, or any other touch screen smartphone for that matter.

No, no, no. Your shitty plastic screen protector is picking up scratches because it's shitty plastic. You're covering up a superior material with an inferior one.

You already have the best screen protector you can buy, it's the glass screen itself.
