How is imo IM better than Meebo?
Also, what is the difference between the two SiriusXM apps?

Greyface said:Bluetooth headsets recommendations, anyone? I got one with the iPhone 4S because of Siri. Siri sucks but the headset has been a revelatory experience listening to podcasts and TweetSpeaker. The headset I picked was the Jabra Stone 2:
Pros:
Cons:
- doesn't look like a bluetooth headset
- comes with a useful portable charger
- doesn't have multimedia control buttons (play/pause, rewind, fastforward). I planned to use Siri but that's cumbersome and doesn't work properly with third party apps anyway.
- battery life is short. The headset is rated for 10hrs but that's by having to place the Jabra on the Stone every 2hrs or so for a quick recharge in 20 mins. I can't get through an episode of Tested without headset dying on me.
I want to get a better headset. Any suggestions?

I'm a big fan of these after using them for about a year. I use them at work all day, and they last at least a couple of days on a battery charge (which is standard micro USB). The sound isn't bad. There's a pause/skip/startover control. If somebody calls, there's a separate button to answer the call and a mic in one of the ears. It seems to work great, I've never gotten any complaints when I talk to people on it. I don't have a 4S, so I don't know how well Siri hears through the mic, but I imagine it's fine. The only drawback for me is that they're automatically powered off while charging.
EDIT: It's the Sony DR-BT101, and it comes in white or navy blue. And I think they go for about $50 on amazon.
thanks for the reply. I've actually owned a pair of these before and they were decent albeit not that comfortable. I want a headset because it doesn't seal me off from the world (and there are certain situations where a headphone would be frowned upon but I could get away with leaving on my headset). Plus it's smaller and more portable.Duane Cunningham said:http://www.productwiki.com/upload/images/sony_dr_bt101.jpg

Most, if not all, of the Bluetooth headsets are Siri compatible. If it works with the old voice control (introduced 2 yrs ago with the 3GS) then it'll work with Sirijust make sure that there is a button to launch Siri. Not all headsets support the audio/music streaming protocol and even fewer have the multimedia controls instead of deferring to the phone :/Tralfamadore64 said:Stupid question, but are there any Sir-compatible headsets? I've considered getting a bluetooth for long drives or when I'm talking while cleaning the house or something, but I'd like to have full functionality.

Well for long drives you're better off with a bluetooth speaker (that's a separate category). The closest to the Jabra Stone that I've found is the Nica Sunrise v2Tralfamadore64 said:Any recommendations?

I can get to that on my 4S with about 40% of battery life left.
Zefah said:It really depends on what you're doing. 4 hours of Infinity Blade, for example, would murder the battery.

Jawbone says the Era doesnt have media play/pause controls which the Icon HD hasRoninChaos said:I use the Jaw Bone ERA and it's awesome. I have a few extra around the house I'm getting rid of from back when I worked at AT&T. The Icon is good, but the ERA is much better.

Aske said:^ That's awesome.
Also awesome: Graft just emailed me to say my Leverage cases shipped. I ordered yesterday, so although they're not advertising it on their website, they clearly have stock. Skipping the 2-4 week wait time feels good!
Looks nice, give us some impressions once you get it.Vik_Vaughn said:Well, I ordered a Switcheasy Nude Ultraclear case the other day. Should have it this week. I was going to roll completely caseless, then I saw this thing. Looks like it should add a little bit of protection and doesn't looks to mar the looks of the phone at all.

I had forgotten how bad it was and they still haven't fixed it after all these years! Is there anything that doesn't cost a dime that gives turn by turn commentary and faces the direction your driving?

Black bumper here. Does not cover up the stylish design, offers good protection (fell three feet unto tile not a scratch), and looks good.Bgamer90 said:My phone with my case looks practically the same as it does without it.

After using my iPhone 4S a bunch, I'm starting to see a ton of white iPhone's out there and it's making me feel less special...and I cannot have this. I demand that my phone sticks out, yet remains as untarnished as possible.
With my general aversion to cases, I decided that if I was going to do anything to my phone, it would have to a thin "bumper" style case so the majority of the phone is still nice and pretty. Tons of digging later, and remembering a previous GAF recommendation, I landed on:

...that black on white look is awesome, and the bumper design adds fairly little bulk and a little flair of design of it's own.
A bit steep in the price department, but it's a vanity purchase anyways...so I'll pay it.
Feel free to openly mock me since I've probably been one of the louder anti-case people on GAF...but my reasons are purely related to looks, no protection...so I think I get a pass!
