For people with battery issues try turning off raise to speak for Siri. It's useless and seems to be a battery drain. Im gonna turn it back on and run some tests but it seems to have helped with the battery a bit
My Iphone 4S was stolen and getting it replaced by Asurion insurance. Will I be getting a new one or refurbished? Anyone used them before? The customer service lady said she thinks it's a new one but I'm worried =/
I need some help. I can't find an answer ANYWHERE and Apple isn't helping one iota.
I am on the newest OS.
Iphone 4S 32Gig
I am able to use every other app just fine
The HBO app isn't working. I am able to log in, choose a title to watch, and once it starts loading it kicks me back to the menu with an error message stating that the current proxy I am using isn't compatible with the app.
The only problem is I'm not using a proxy. I'm not using wifi. I'm using 3G. I can't find a solution.
The same problem happens with the Steam application. It won't let me log in due my using a proxy which I am not using.
Please advise
Did it work for you before a recent update? There are some reviews saying that v1.3 no longer works with their cable provider.

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK.
My iPhone 4s took a little dip in some water...
I tried to turn it off but it just keeps turning back on.
I don't think the ear piece works, and I thought the speaker didn't work when I tried to play music, but it works when I activate Siri?
Right now its just in a pot of uncooked rice...I don't know what to do :C

4s battery life scares me away from the thing more then it should, I mean my galaxy ace android phone dies quickly if I use it.
I hope the iphone 5 works more towards power and other things then just a bigger and better processor, i'd take 4s performance on a phone with a longer life then a quad core with the current battery life times.
If you mean restore, then yeah.Is the only way to un-jailbreak my phone is to reboot my device? I went to the Apple Store and they said they couldn't touch my phone cause it was jailbroken
Honestly, I think most people who have battery problems have stuff like location reminders, push notifications, automatic email checking every five minutes, bluetooth always on, etc. All of that stuff is battery draining, and disabling some of that stuff goes a long way.
With moderate use every day, I always charge my phone up at night right around 30-40% battery remaining... and this is with bluetooth always on. Of course, YMMV though.
Dropped my naked 4S on hard concrete for the first time today. Thankfully, not a scratch on it. Hopefully this makes me less anal about keeping my iPhone safe from now on.
Guys if you charge your phone to 100% and then go to bed, at what % do you find it in the morning?
My 3Gs and 4s both go down to 96-97% just idleing through the night (6-7 hours)
But I got a iPhone 4 to use and damn thing stays at 100% through the same time... So I just wonder about your results. How many % do you lose per 6-7 hours roughly?

My 4S holds charge pretty well. Usually only loses about 3% charge over the course of a night if I have it unplugged (about 8 hours usually).Guys if you charge your phone to 100% and then go to bed, at what % do you find it in the morning?

all the settings are the same (no push, wifi on and most other stuff off)
Yeah, I turned it off for the same reason. I was getting OCD about it and now I just glance at the bar once in a while and give it some juice depending on how long I'll be outside.I turn off battery percentage because I find it makes me worry about the phone more than I should. The thing lasts most of the day and I do a brief mid-day charge if I'm going to be going home super late.
Umm. So all my apps just disappeared from my phone. Maybe a sync gone awry? I set my phone down and pick it up a half hour later and all my apps are gone. :| Resycning now but if my app data is gobe I'm going to fucking kill someone.

I can't seem to remove this video podcast from my phone
Every time I sync it just adds it to my iTunes library on the PC. Any ideas?
Anyone?
Why would you pay to replace your phone (which you can do at any time) if it's working fine?
This is a huge thread and I apologize if this has been addressed already.
My wife got a 4s the other day and the speakers don't seem to be working when playing media (YouTube videos play with no sound, can't hear songs in iTunes). Speaker phone works and the ringer works but notifications about e-mail, texts etc. don't. Unless you're using headphones, then all of the above works through the headphones.
Anyone run into this and fix it? Do we have to return it?
Thanks GAF.

First thing I checkedHit the mute switch
play around with the volume switch while you are listening to a song.
if that fails, backup the phone then restore it, see if a clean install helps.
Is there an official iPod thread? Whatever, I'll ask my question here anyway.
Why didn't Apple update the iPod Touch specs last year? I use an iPod Touch sometimes and apps constantly crash or the device generally seems slow. On top of all of this the battery life is not that great either. At times it seems like the device is too thin for it's own good because the formfactor sacrifices space for a larger battery and doesn't feel as good in the hands as an iPhone 4S does. I don't know, does anyone else with an iPod Touch experience the same issues?
When you launch an app for the first time, most ask if you would like to recieve push notifications. Is it possible to change your answer to this question at a later time on an app to app basis? I can't seem to find how to do that, if so.
There is a "Push" page in Settings somewhere, or maybe it's in the Notifications area and you just scroll down. It's there somewhere though, list of all apps and on/off toggle.
