Holy shit that's awesome. Gonna try it now.ckohler said:Via: MacRumors.com
PopCap has ported their Bejeweled game to the iPhone with a special web version which is playable on Safari and the iPhone. iPhone users can simply go to Popcap.com which will redirect them to this iphone specific page.

Not only is this a fun game to have on the go, but it's probably the best web app I've seen so far with lots of neat animation, fade-in and fade-outs, etc. Very nicely polished.

I was playing around with the iphone today and I was wondering why when I turn the phone sideways, the screen does not rotate. I always have to flick the phone or turn it real quick... Was just wondering if thats normal?
StrikerObi said:Make sure you're holding it perpendicular to the floor. If it's at an angle, the sensor doesn't do a very good job of triggering the rotation.

One of my best friends wants to buy my 30 GB Ipod off me. What price should I sell it to him? Take into consideration I've known him since I was 8.
This is what they sell for on Ebay completed.
I'm thinking 120? I don't care about making as much as I can and want to sell it for a good amount less then I should normally since he is a good friend.

i have unlimited data on my phone and i wanted to add unlimited text on another phone and the operator said that was not possible. that seems very stupid and evil corp'ish but i wont put anything past telecom companies.
Ninja Scooter said:well i took the plunge on Sunday. Picked up the 4GB version (really didn't have any use for the extra 4GB since i don't plan on putting much music and any movies on the thing). So far im loving it. Man im going to get fired all i do all day at work is surf the internets. And everyone at work is wowed by the damn thing. I put my poor cubicle mate to shame with his Blackjack! And its fairly fast too, using EDGE in my area for the most part.
Fusebox said:Bejeweled and a NES emulator eh? I welcome all iPhone owners to the year 2000.
Kung Fu Jedi said:I just love comments like this one. You know, since the platform is brand new, and it's been out for a total of five weeks. You have to start somewhere, and if that means porting older games or emulators, than so be it. It's not like you're going to see completely new game franchises on the iPhone in the first month of it's release.
Kung Fu Jedi said:Looks like the NES Emulator has already been updated and works much much better now. That didn't take long! :lol

These types of devices just don't provide any decent means for controlling the game, outside of some RPGs and such where you might be willing to compromise. Still, it's proof for some other things the iPhone may be capable of.
You're mistaking Fusebox for someone rational.Kung Fu Jedi said:I'm pretty much of the same mind, but considering I've seen several people post in this thread that they wouldn't want an iPhone until it could do MAME or other forms of emulation. I'm not all that excited about this either, but it is interesting to see that it was basically a proof of concept yesterday, and today it performs orders of magnitude better.

I was making a joke to point out the fact that you are increasingly shrill in this thread. I have no idea why you're even still in it, to be honest -- you aren't going to buy one, you aren't sharing info, you aren't interested in doing a damn thing other than shitting up discussion. You don't have to like the iPhone...but why are you here? If you were doing this on the gaming side, you'd already be gone.Fusebox said:Rational, like how jinxs post mentions me even though hes quoting someone else who was responding to someone else who was responding to someone else altogether? Okaaaay then.
Rgardless, theres nothing to rationalise other than to worry about some ifanboys getting snooty because what I said was fact, other cell-phones have been releasing with games pre-installed for years but honestly, the iPhone getting a couple of games wouldn't even be comment-worthy if people weren't going "wow holy shit" about it like it's some big deal for cell-phones to have crappy games on them.
As for pressing on a picture of a NES d-pad that doesn't even allow you press two buttons at once, well if it's "performing orders of magnitude better" then I'd say its also "a few million light years" from being optimal.
But you know what would be good on the iPhone? ScummVm. It'd be perfect. The res is right, the interface is right, its just screaming for a ScummVm port.
If you have a .Mac account, the capability is already enabled.StrikerObi said:So, I imagine we'll be seeing another update to the firmware very soon, to add the functionality to upload images to a .Mac Web Gallery? Hopefully there will be other additions as well![]()

Sometimes i'll turn it on and everything will be this wierd fuzzy green, like some sort of fucked up night vision, and i'll leave it alone and later it'll be working fine, but its done this a handful of times already. I think i'll take it back to the Apple store since its within the 14 day period.
