is joining a gym worth it?

I'm a big fan of P90X and Insanity because of the structure and because it has worked for me in the past (20 pounds heavier and I'm still trying to hop back on it). I'm finding it hard to stop watching TV or relaxing at home.

I'm moving this month and will have a gym at work, but I am still reluctant. My main issue would be either 1) going in early to the gym, shower there, then go to work; 2)work out during lunch for a bit, continue to work all sweaty/smelly or shower; 3) work out at the end of the work day, potentially cutting into any social activities at night.

Anybody with a long-ish commute find any one option better than the other?

i didn't say 20 lb dumbbells are all you need

there are plenty of ways to do anaerobic activities and i just said you don't need a gym to do them

Ok buddy.

Hard to make that distinction from the first post alone.

It's not like he posted once?

Just lock in Saturday and Sunday as workout days then you only need to find 1 other day during the work week.

What time do you finish work? If you finish at 5ish you can still work out for a hour or so and it still have a ton of time to chill.

Well that's kind of like asking for motivational tips to go to a restaurant when you're not hungry. If you don't care about the results I'm sure there are better ways to spend your time. I'm not particularly fond of weight training but I do it solely for the results.

Yep, watching my weight numbers go up is one of the primary motivations for me to lift.

Fuck the gym it's pointless and a money sink when you can do it all at home. All these weirdos looking at your Greek God stature asking for advice while you're doing a set, women dripping, slipping and falling in your presence...it's just a distraction keeping you from putting in dat work. I get shit done at home. I have these 20lbs kitchen utensils I forged so I can pump my broceps while I lift my fork and eat my fish, cuz it's my favourite dish.

Get swole toffy from home fuck the gym.
