In my opinion, it depends on the type of games you like. If you are a fan of Gran Turismo at all, its worth it for that game alone. A lot of other games are more horror based and that's not my thing.

As mentioned, Sony hasn't done the best job of supporting it but there are some proper games coming out for it. I suggest checking out current and upcoming games. If 6 or more catch your interest it might be worth it.

$350 is an amazing deal and worth it. At $599, I don't think so.

At the very least, you don't like it and could recoup most of the cost when the price returns to normal.

Some of the best games of this generation are PSVR 2 games. It's not well supported but what is there is phenomenal.

GT7, RE4 and RE8 are amazing in VR.

There are others as well, like Pavlov,
Metro VR, NMS, Red Matter 1 and 2, Synapse, Walking Dead 1 and 2, etc.

All of them are really good games.

It is also an amazing PC headset, but you need an adapter for that.

I think there's enough games to justify it at $300-350. At $500+ no

Get a Quancake 3. Stay away from the Phresnel2.
