Can someone explain to me why on aggregate there are more: (black male/white female) marriages than (white male/black female) marriages. Its particularly more noticeable here in western europe where I live. What actually creates these patterns of dating, selection and attachment in adults?

Perhaps we have some people that have studied psychology who can shed some light.

I don't think it is racist to say you don't prefer a particular look... preference is preference. I don't particularly like white women as much as I like other ethnicities. I don't think that makes me a racist... but it might.

But I'm not really that attracted to Asian women on the whole. There are a few exceptions (Hitomi Tanaka ) and I did once go out with a girl who was half British/half Chinese but part from that... not so much.

Of course it's sociological. Race is a man-made construct.

But physical attraction is a largely psychological/biological one. Sure, social factors can affect your psychology, but your innate tastes are your tastes. (Beyond race, my boss loves fat girls, and I don't.)

Also, don't forget the behavioural traits. This is going to sound extremely racist, but certain groups act, talk, and dress in certain ways. THIS is sociological, the environment in which you are raised. (Or for suburban-raised people, what you aspire to through pop culture.)

As for black girls, while some are very attractive, most aren't for me. That isn't a racist thing, it's nothing to do with skin colour, just a matter of features I find attractive. But then, there's a lot of girls in every race that I don't find attractive. I'm picky, too much so for my own good. (But I'm in a long-term relationship, so I'm happy.)
