I don't have a thing against black girls and find some attractive, but I'd say I'd find a smaller percentage of black girls attractive than I do white girls.

I've only every actually met a few african girls for more than 20 minutes ever though, so that could be a partial explanation.

This may sound racist but I used to work with a lot of black dudes(at ups) and it seemed like not even black guys like black females. They were all into white, latina, or asian girls. As for white guys, I have no idea.

It may be because the dateable pool of black women is depressingly low when compared to other ethnic groups. That's how it is in my neck of the woods at least. Black women tend to be ghetto or fat or some combination of the two, so it's easier to just look past them.

That's not to say I'm above black women or I'm incapable of being attracted to them. I'm sure if I lived in Atlanta, my attitude would be completely different.

There is some truth to that.

When looking at TV and all of the women who are considered beautiful, intelligent, etc. are all white, you can't help but be effected. Especially if there are no real-life black chicks who you are attracted to. On top of that, when school bussing started, you left the black schools and were bussed to "superior" mostly white schools. There are/were alot of subconscious influences in society to make people think that "White is Right". Not to mention many black people growing up with extremely low self esteem because at a time US society considered black people less than human. So getting with a white chick was an status symbol. That kind of thing isn't gone in 50-60 years.

Not saying everything is about those factors, some people are just colorblind and love who they love. But those factors are real for some.

I don't even know if my opinion counts because I've been around the Philly area so long, but just about every black woman you run into comes across as overly aggressive or horridly obese.

In the rare cases where you find the ones who are more fit (skinny or slightly meaty are both fine) and they don't seem to constantly be on the offensive, they usually look great and are very approachable.

My neighbor is actually really hot and approachable.

...I think it's more of the aggressiveness that bothers me. I don't even attempt to crack that defensive shell that I see with most of them.

Never an issue in day to day life, but if I'm looking for girls that you'd want to hook up with, it's few and far between.

I'm married anyways so it's all just eye candy for me.

If a black girl is hot, she's hot. Every ethnicity can produce stunning riches...the difference, for me, is how few and far between those riches can be found.

I might consider 40% of all Asian women cute/hot, 30% white, and so on and so forth, but black is at the bottom near 3-5% or so. I suppose it partially has to do with the overweight/obese thing, but...I don't know. It's just not very frequent for me.

But I'm not really that attracted to Asian women on the whole. There are a few exceptions (Hitomi Tanaka ) and I did once go out with a girl who was half British/half Chinese but part from that... not so much.

I'm attracted to women who are demure. My experience has been that different cultures have varying viewpoints on how women should behave. So while Asian women may be culturally predisposed to act in a manner I find attractive, there have been a couple of dark skinned women I've dated who also fit the bill quite nicely.

Skin color isn't the determining factor, at least not for me, whether we're talking about dating or more serious relationships.

*gasp* theres another black girl on gaf? Represent! But yea the good hair is thrown around a lot from my friends and relatives about dating a white guy. I did go through a phase in which I liked nothing but white guys but I did it with nearly every ethnicity so I guess I am just odd. I pretty much like any guy thats cute and got a nice personality.

I thought in europe that there were more black female married to white male than in the US. Dunno why but from where I work I will get more international couples like that than local.

I don't really like Asian girls. On the whole, they have a better average of looking decent, but there are very few Asian women I've ever found beautiful.

As I said before, though, mixed ethnicities are awesome. Asian/White, Asian/Black is a-ok in my books, that's when they really come into a world of their own.
