I mainly respect the Dreamcast for the sheer amount of new IP's it pumped out. Sega really drained its creative juices dry. Skies of Arcadia, Jet Set Radio, Rez, Space Channel 5, Shenmue, Crazy Taxi etc.
In comparison, Nintendo the 'great innovators' brought very little in the way of new IP's other than Pikmin really. There was just nothing really 'new' to the Gamecube that Nintendo hadnt spewed out before, and lack of 3rd party titles just makes the line-up feel so dull.
