Huh the cancelled Hack? That was a damn good show.
CBS cancelled a lot of shit, actually. The Guardian as well got cut, despite half decent ratings.
The problem is, CBS is trying to go after the younger demographic. Big Brother provides that for them in the summer, so they keep it around. They grab it with Survivor as well. CSI grabs the highest ratings in TV. The only reason The Amazing Race is sticking around is its Emmy and cult following; other reality shows with similar ratings have fallen by the wayside.
And less Alison bashing for that purpose...she was an ass to Donny, but he also made some really, really stupid decisions, and she let her anger cloud her judgement. She needs to control her nerves, and then smack herself upside the head. She was the brains of that team, sadly. In the first episode she made sure they didn't miss that clue...she just couldn't control her emotions.
However, in some better news, The Amazing Race is going to be on at 8/7c rather than 10, meaning that it will, at least, be an earlier timeslot, and have a better shot at grabbing some viewership. Besides, the hardcore fans of the show will watch it anyways.
