Is XCOM dead?

Arghhh
Xcom 2 collecting is on sale for 8.99€, but because I own Xcom 2 deluxe edition I can't buy it, but deluxe doesn't include War of the Chosen and War of the Chosen costs 39.99€...

You were sold some horseshit and you decided to eat it.
- First, because the "turn limits" weren't on every mission. Maybe half of them at most, if even that.
- Second because the objective system was modular (with some objectives being timed, but then you had all the time in the world to complete the rest)
- And third, because you caved to the pressure of an imagined and perceived unfairness without giving the system a chance, otherwise you'd have quickly learned that the "time limits" were plenty forgiving enough and they actively made the game better.

It's also worth noting that there is a mod that turns the turn limits off anyway if you prefer that. I personally liked the added tension in some missions. They are not frequent

No keys on Playstation...
The only solution is to phone Playstation support and ask them to remove Xcom 2 deluxe from my account so I can buy the Collection, but phoning them is such a nightmare and they have no chat support here.

Midnight Suns was my GOTY. All the chatting isn't for everyone, but there's some genius in the gameplay design imo.

Expeditions Rome is another easy recommend with some interesting ideas.
Expeditions Rome is an amazing game (obviously set in antiquity) and anyone who likes Tactics based combat and good RPGs should play it!

Also, if on PC, I think there were mods to mostly turn it off.

Edit: Beaten to this like a grunt missing a 95% shot and getting eviscerated the next turn! 😉

Jagged Alliance 3 and Battletech were both better than the firaxis xcom games. I've no idea why people glaze Jake Solomon so much but I appreciate how his success tricked the awful games industry into greenlighting at least a couple of good games.
Jagged Alliance 3 is pure junk sorry

Yeah, it was good and I wouldnt mind an Xcom 3

However we are in good hands:

what game is that?

FYI: Marvel Midnight Suns is free through Prime Gaming for the Epic Games Store. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I have 207 hours in XCOM: Enemy Unknown and 219 hours in XCOM 2. Games like these where you're making hundreds of micro-decisions over the course of a round make time melt away for me.

That's wild. Meanwhile on Steam I can just buy a bundle and it will discount me for any part of the bundle I already own.

All time low of 3 bucks for the full bundle. Noiiice. Though if I buy a key from an external site I don't get the discount. So the question boys, assuming that I hopefully getting around to giving XCOM2 a proper playthrough... are the Resistance Warrior Pack and Reinforcement Pack worth a shit?
Unfortunately, I am on xbox.
Everything is an Xbox now though, you need to be more specific :messenger_tears_of_joy:
