I thought this was a joke. But no, they literally wrote a song whining about AA and how blacks are bad too. And how that makes them feel "alone" "angry" "violent" because of this and that he won't change his mind. Another reason to hate this band.

Also there is no hope of them reuniting since Scott Stapp said that Mark Tremonti has a big ego in an interview recently. He also said some other stuff insulting Tremonti, so it's a no go I think.

Creed is proof positive that all that really matters in having success like theirs in the music industry is having the right promotion. Their one saving grace is they have a decent guitarist, but other than that they're music is what jumps to mind when I think of what generic rock sounds like.
Like if someone is in a band and says their influenced by Creed, that tells you absolutely nothing besides power chords and verse chorus verse chorus verse chorus chorus.

Aside from some of their earlier tracks, they sound nothing alike.

They have a couple good songs (What's This Life For, My Sacrifice), but otherwise, yeah -- generic white bread IMO.

Yeah, he's decent, he can play well. He's not on the virtuoso level of guys like Andy James or Guthrie Govan, but he stands like a giant among guitarists in a genre where your lucky if you get a solo that's more than just the chorus melody played again with a wah pedal. I remember seeing the video for Open Your Eyes where he uses some sweep picking during the solo and thinking how great it was to see someone embrace skill and technicality in a mainstream rock song.
