It breaks my heart to say this, but Fzero SNES is better than Fzero X (N64)

There is difference in the way that the vehicles (ships?) handle between the two games (F-Zero - F-Zero X), its hard to explain but the ships grip(?) the track differently. I personally prefer they way they feel in the original F-Zero (But both games are great)

Quite considerate of them to bring an ice bag to alleviate the atrocious anal pain you'll no doubt feel after crossing path with those three...

Dunno about X, but SNES F-Zero was always a boring game to me. Good Mode 7 showcase and I guess good launch game, but by the time I got a SNES it wasn't the cool kid in the neighborhood anymore, and its main point (the speed) was lost on PAL consoles anyway.
X has some terrific music.

Mario Kart 64 is a disgrace. Its only reason to exist is that one multiplayer arena. The tracks and the racing are abysmal and the game was always technically poor. SMK was leagues better, and in fact MK64 made me drop the series until MKDS.

StarFox SNES is the best StarFox, period.

Love both, don't know which one I'd choose as better or worse.

I'd might go with the 64DD version of X. Lots of tracks, stereo CD music, car and track editor and two new cups to beat.

F-Zero SNES for sure has the best OST. All in agreement?
No, but I'd agree that GX has the worst one.

Imagine thinking flat Mode 7 tracks are better then this. Mariokart included.

I have no words for those weirdos.
It all comes down to the gameplay. Some of those flat Mode 7 tracks were awesome, and even let you do some crazy stuff like making a perfect turn by bumping into the walls at the right angle.

For me there's nothing exciting about a flat track. I love crazy track design. I want loops and inclines, declines, jumps, whatever. The gameplay is opened up more.

I didn't get around to playing the original Mariokart until several years ago, and I thought it was boring. Good for it's time, but compared to what we have now? No contest.

And I think the driving in the SNES Mario Kart is one of if not the best of the series. It feels more technical to me, driving the karts in modern games is just too easy.

I won't say the games are better or worse, just that they are different kinds of games. More visual spectacle vs a different kind of driving, pick what you like.

Eh...the only way I was able to clear the later tracks on the SNES game was to use save states at literally every turn. Not very fun unless maybe you just want to sit there and practice for hours.

You are over exaggerating man, I beat it on Master and, while difficult, it's perfectly doable.

I found X to be harder to beat on Master.

Yes this is what it is. The physics in 64 seem more floaty and less precise, the track design was not as good, too much pop in.

Fzero SNES is the better game.
