Itch.io shadow bans all adult games

There's a page with a dossie on the whole situation:

These people wont stop after porn games, they will target violence and nudity as well. Art itself could be compromised. The situation gives unparalled precedent for censorship.

They start with porn, then they go after violent games with nudity like Cyberpunk 2077, GTA 6, and then they will go after everything else that don't abide by their 'christian values'.

Every slightest offensive game, movie, hentai, manga is at risk of being targeted.

Honestly, the world should jusy adopt Brazilian payment methods

Playing Devil's Advocate, if you believe in a free-market system, then payment processors should be able to decide which companies they do business with. You shouldn't be able to force them to process payments from companies they don't want to work with.
Absolutely right. Which is why they must be circumvented with decentralized tools.

That's all fine and dandy, until the effective duopoly of Visa and Mastercard decide they don't want competition.

Not to mention the amount of capital any competitors need.

Visa/MC have already been lobbying the US government to start messing with Pix.

No, they shouldn't,.
Not in the moment society makes the use of "digital money" basically mandatory in some specific context.

If I HAVE to own a bank account and pass through your payment system to compy with some services and legal obligations, then you do NOT get the privilege to dictate to me where, when and how I should be able to spend my money on.
You should just manage your side of the deal, which is to manage the transaction (as long as it's legal, obviously) and take your commission.
And the latter is already a privilege you get over the use of physical money (aka CASH), by the way.

Like I said in the other thread, everyone was ok with censorship when it was just pro white companies being debanked. Yet when they pulled degenerate incest games, you all throw a fit.

The real question that needs to be asked is why Steam allowed this shit to be listed in the 1st place? A proper vetting process would have prevented all this shit (and lots of other controversies that happened before).

The worst part is it's also rubbing off on the console companies too. Lots of shit exists there too that no one talks about.

I have no idea what are you even rambling about?
Sounds some stupidity based on stupid assumptions, though.

We can complain about this all we want, but what are we actually doing to challenge it directly? Are you contacting your credit cards companies and telling them to fuck off? Are you contacting your senators and representatives and telling them to get off their asses and deal with this? No? then you don't have the right to bitch. Stand up and do something or fold.
