But you admit they are there, I presume. I'm a fan a free speech. I also recognize that it can't be used as an excuse to allow illegal perversions and other nonsense to be normalized. I'm just providing an alternate perspective. Thankfully, Steam has a nice feature to filter out all that nonsense, which I have turned on. I returned to PC gaming about 2 years ago and was floored at all the crazy messed up games that are other there. Be it incest, pedophilia, beastality, rape, goofy fetishes, etc. It's all out there. I think it is normal for a strong company, as well as normal people for that matter, to want to distance themselves from and avoid their own brand being tied to heinous nonsense. It's perfectly rational for a company to say "I don't want my brand tied to enabling Cousin Pissing On You Simulator 3.0". I get it. Is there a balance that has to be struck to ensure the true reality of freedom of speech is protected? Of course. However, the creation or distribution of obscene materials is not protected by freedom of speech, as determined by the courts in Roth vs. United States, 354 U.S. 476 (1957). It's not a crutch that allows you to do whatever the hell you want.
