I got a warning yesterday but the warning didn't explain why, so I have to guess now. I don't remember attacking anyone.

I like Sony better than MS and I generally don't like MS vision for the console market, I don't think there's anything wrong with this view, it's a completely fair opinion to have, just as it's fair for someone to love Gamepass and cheer and beg for more publishers being acquired (I guess).

To me the mature thing is to be able to handle criticism of the company/game you like more or different opinions or even some jokes without getting into personal attacks. But I think you can get away with attacking people as long as you label that person a fanboy beforehand.

Anyway, maybe I just got the wrong impression.

This thread has a lot of truth in it. Made a general statement, people liked the post and then it gets deleted by some triggered mod because I don't dick ride Sony or any of these fucking companies. It's like the site is ran and sponsored by Sony, so if you call them out on bullshit, the Sony warrior mod police come out in full force. Do better, GAF Mods.

I didn't say it was all Xbox fans, I think it's pretty easy to understand that I was talking about people engaged in the behavior I described and anyone is able to see there are plenty of them around.

I would've never guessed that was the comment that got me in trouble. Anyway, if it that warrants a warning fine, I'll try not to generalize in the future.

I think too just shows the amount of reports you generated from team Blue vs team Green plus no system is perfect

Heck I got a posted taken down and got a wahh wahh wahh response from the mod team when I hinted Halo Infinite MP might make its way to PS5 when I knew for a fact those talks had happened and it wasn't the first time the two camps tried to make it happen on previous Halos

If someone actually plays the game then I have no problem with honest opinions whether good or bad. I misunderstood the post, but factually 01011001 had plenty of negative things to say about HFW just as he did with Halo Infinite. I've seen nothing to indicate that mods were involved in either case. I agree with you. That is as it should be.

As far as 01011001 's complaint about being warned for his comment on HZD....no idea. I've seen plenty of posts saying HZD was mediocre. Somehow I think there is more to it than that.

The other for pointing out no one was putting it in their top 5 for Game of the Decade (since it came 43rd, accurate) despite just winning GOTY 2021 a month before, suggesting that perhaps the Honeymoon period for GaaS was running out.

Neither are shitting on Halo because its for a console, since I played it on both my Series X and PC, but because it's GaaS title just like the rest, unfinished and to be thrown away once it's deemed unpopular enough by its creators.

They didn't point at a specific user or make fun of a specific console. I agree and that's what the ignore feature does. You don't have to see any communication from those on your ignore list. I get the sense that what bothers you is that they can respond to your posts without you knowing it. If so, I get it, but I think trying to force a two-way ignore is going too far.

Is there anyway to look up why I was banned (and by whom) for a week years ago? I remember it being around atlas shrugged and i remember myself thinking I was being “picked on” but I suspect it’s not as clear as I remember.

As a fan of Halo I think it’s more complex than that.

There was recency bias, as the game came out late in the year. Combined with the contrast of a mechanically sound (desync aside) and satisfying gameplay loop against the backdrop of a diabolical Battlefield 2042 and a middling CoD entry. There was also probably the expectation that Infinite would at least be supported as well as the current incarnation of MCC (regular and substantial updates). Instead we’ve got 1 new Arena map guaranteed within the first 12 months.

2021 also wasn’t the strongest of years full stop. Halo, Forza, Returnal, Ratchet, Dread, MH Rise and Psychonauts probably being the top picks but with no stand out GOTY.

But yeah, I think if I recall I voted for it as GOTY (it was in my top 3 I’m fairly certain). If I could vote now it would be behind the other games I listed above.

I think this right here is it, just some of us hit that limit alot faster than others before the vote.

Although given the word map provided for Halo which had things like coop & bug free being included as the reason they voted for it I suspect many never played it.

I played a shit lot of Halo, I got to 75ish on the battle pass and completed it on Legendary so I could get my feelings around it, but honestly it was just OK, the best Halo 343 have made hands down, but still one of the worst in the franchise, for it to win anything irked me, its like people voted for the promise of future content and not what was actually provided.

And when I got sick of making that point and instead started making the odd snarky comment towards it for just being anouther GaaS title in a sea of GaaS titles, well... I still make the comments towards GaaS titles, and still will. Their supposed to be fair game as far as I can tell, despite the character on the front of the box.

Lying about the XSS get no such response at all. There is plenty of consideration of people's sensitivity for certain platforms for sure.

Let me preface this first by saying...

I do own an Xbox Series X, despite what others might claim.

And I dislike the series S in the same way I dislike Sony's new love of "Cross generation games," now currently the series S has not held Microsoft back, that's because the Xbox One/S/X has currently been the one to do this. Essentially when you design a game you have to design it for the lowest common denominator.

As a PC player it's why I have to buy £4000 PC's just to achieve slightly better than console preformance, because when you have to design a game around weak hardware it can only effectively scale so far. I know I know, PC's have thousands of variations the Series only has two, and your right, however there is still a demand on publishers that if they want there game on Xbox it has to work well on the series S. That will inevitably effect how specific games are designed, a load wall here, lower textures there etc, and instead of making games for the Series X and getting them to work on the S, it is far far easier to design games for the series S and get them to work on the X.

It's why I was happy with Sonys choice to essentially just release a disc vs no disc version as at least then they have the same console running the games. However yeah now we have essentially PS5 titles hamstrung because they need to work on the base PS4, something I don't like, however I know eventually it will go away... with the series S, that's hamstrung for the entire generation.

Honestly it costs more to buy a digital only Series S + a 1TB memory card than it does to just buy a Series X and with only 400GB of usable storage space unless you upgrade your going to want to. That's my personal thoughts on it, and I think it's many peoples they just don't voice it anymore incase they get smacked by the ban hammer, hence why I prefaced this with a picture of my actual console.

Now excuse me as I use my PS5 to play this niche weeb PS4 title that was designed and also released for the Nintendo Switch.

I once got 3 warning points for posting a pic of Phil laughing. I also got 3 warning points for posting a Marty Mcfly gif in a thread made by the user 'Marty Mcfly' lol.

Sometimes the mods get it wrong, but overall they do a fantastic job.
My only worry is that there are a few posters where it must be 90% of their posts are console war posts, yet thye are still here. I mean many on here know who they are, and the mods arent stupid so.

I keep it soft by making sure it's moisturised at least 7 times a day with Johnson's Baby Oil.

Ah ok, that's not a 'warning'. When we just delete posts we can send a notification. This one was basically saying "Look you already have a courtesy warning, we're going to look the other way this time despite that, but next time, we will follow through."


We call them warn-warnz, or prebans.

Is there anyway to look up why I was banned (and by whom) for a week years ago? I remember it being around atlas shrugged and i remember myself thinking I was being “picked on” but I suspect it’s not as clear as I remember.

The main problem I have with you is that you use light theme ...Who does that?It is way worse than any mod actually rooting for any brand...

You have no warnings, I will remedy that now though. Using my milk filmed eyes, that require the light theme at 100% brightness so I can see more than shapes.

I once got a warning for literally saying "Horizon Zero Dawn was mediocre, let's hope the sequel is better". and yes it was not any worse than that

but on the other hand I royally shit on Halo Infinite with every opportunity I get, and never got a warning for that at any point

so I understand why some might get the impression if biased mods when stuff like that happens

I bash sony and greedy jimbo a lot and never got a warning for that.

The only 2 warnings i received was when i trolled nintendo or switch users.

So mods really don't seems to have a favourite brand if we mix my experience with your experience.
