It's kind of a shame that Trump's campaign has to end like this...

So, how has this ended Trump's campaign exactly?

This is said during every single one of his scandals and nothing changes.

He was heading towards a loss in November and will continue to do so. He won't drop out. The needle may change slightly, but the result is the same.

The difference this time is that his donors and party allies are publicly dumping him. You know the ship is sinking because the rats are abandoning it.

I just find it surreal that, out of all of the things he's said and done - including literally breaking federal laws - the one thing that might take him down and put the nail in the coffin is a story almost broken by ACCESS FUCKING HOLLYWOOD were it not leaked to the Washington Post first. Like literally every day the Washington Post and New York Times have been taking Trump to the cleaners via in depth, investigative reporting but b-roll footage from the poor man's version of Entertainment Tonight is going to be Trump's Watergate tapes.

Trash TV star being taken down by Trash TV show. Seems appropriate.

Why would this incident end anything? Every single supporter of his is a goddamn nutjob. Every. Single. One.

If USA views on adultery swings Trumps campaign more than promising war crimes if elected then just shut the country down immidietly.

If Trump supporters responded with any reason or logic by this point it'd be even scarier than it was before; it'd prove some crude form of sentience.

If it makes you feel better, we have troves of videos of Trump saying horrible shit about every minority group under the sun, so anybody who tries to pat themselves on the back for distancing at the last minute still has a lot to answer for.

After everything else, you think THIS is going to end him?

haaaaaaaahahahahahahha
Absolutely. This is his "47 percent" moment. This is game over for Trump.

Will people still vote for him? Of course, just like people still voted for Romney. But also like Romney, Trump will take this guaranteed loss now just like Romney did.

You would think that this is at least the kick starter to his demise, not only in the political field, but all his other ventures that he has assets in. This man doesn't deserve anything he has, he's a foul human being with no regards to anyone around him, except himself.

I certainly think it's notable that politicians from his own party are rescinding endorsements, but it just feels like "death by a thousand cuts."

No one scandal in particular is going to be the reason that he doesn't win the presidency.

It's the culmination of his failings as a candidate and, quite frankly, a person.

I've been watching the news and his supporters, even women supporters, are making excuses for him. Trump could shoot up a school and they'd spin it as him being pro 2nd amendment.

People will spin anything. The great thing about this is that it has ignited even more opposition and causing him to lose more visible support from core party members. It's making a loss more and more guaranteed, and making Republican Party shills having to decide if it's worth staying on this bandwagon considering it could hurt their careers

It's great. It's the party implosion which was always kind of happening, stalling a bit at the more unified RNC besides Cruz (who eventually supported him anyway). Now we are getting momentum to actually call out trump for his nasty shit, Paul Ryan disinviting him to republican events...

It's beautiful

As much as I'm glad to see his house of cards come crumbling down, I wish that people could see it as a steadfast repudiation of his values rather than a reaction to him being a terrible sexist, racist scumbag. At this point there's almost no chance for Trump to wash off the stink of his deplorable comments, so in the future this loss will be chalked up to poor discipline rather than egregious policy.

I'm pretty certain at least more than half the country will remember him this way.

If it wasn't this way, die hard Trumpers would find any excuse to explain how their candidate got robbed or wasn't treated fairly. It's happened after every single volitile word regurgitation this man has spouted throughout his candidacy. Spinning and Projecting like an amateur film student in a tornado. I'm just glad he's going down, shame the film that's going to retell this insane election won't have a very filmic ending, I guess.

Dems better say SOMETHING about this but I'm not counting on them to do it very well.

WHAT IF THIS IS TO MAKE DEM VOTERS DEEL SECURE SO THEY DONT SHOW UP TO VOTE AND TRUMP WINS?!!!!!11111

I don't think this will sink them. The people who are voting for him do not give a fuck. They will hand wave away anything he's done. There's no logic to it. They say we need a business man, he lost 916 million dollars. They say he cares about women, we have this tape showing how he really behaves. They say he cares about minorities, he calls Mexicans rapists. They say he cares about the military and their families, he shits on a gold star family. NOTHING is going sink Trump. He may not win but his base is sticking by him. Just watch people on the news making excuses for him. Scottie Young or whatever the fuck her name is happens to be the worst. I can't wait for Katrina Pearson to get on the news and be like "yeah he grabbed my pussy but what about all the pussies Hilary Clinton has grabbed?!"

There is no accountability from the people who support him. They don't want accountability. They don't want anything but Hilary to lose and this shit is happening because of how bad the right wing media has portrayed everyone as super villains that's not a republican. And when republicans step back and say "Hey, wtf man?!" About something he does they get labeled as RINOs.

And don't get me started on the republicans who are now shying away. So all the awful shit he said and did before wasn't bad enough, but this is the reason you finally step away? These people will hopefully be judged based on their support and lose their fucking seats.

My old roommate made a comment one time that you have to have a mental disorder to be a republican and buy into this bullshit. I'm starting to think that's true based on the fact that Trump got this far.

if all he has is his base, he's sunk.

You can't win a presidency with only people who are dedicated enough to defend you bragging about sexual assault. That's why we're seeing a series of unendorsements right now. He's through. The question is how the down-ballot is going to go now.

I already gave my thoughts on what had this scandal different than the last, but for everyone who says 'This won't sink him,'...I mean, we all realize that Trump was already losing the race right? Like, he's never actually been winning, the most he's got is kind of close. His numbers are tanking again and have been on a decline since the first debate. He was already sinking, this is just another hole in the hull, and it seems like this becoming the biggest one.

Yes.
