so yea, I name my character Gangstahoe and another character BigheadHoe then I was gonna make a dwarf later FattyFatsHoe etc

i was just gonna have a bunch of hoes.

but blizzard wasnt having that I guess.

and thats understandable.....

they change the name of gangstahoe to some stupid crap. and said i could give them 5 suggestions if i didnt like the name they gave me and i did.

So instead of hoe....i did gangstachick, gangstamama etc.

stuff like that...stuff that wasnt derrogatory.

the whole reason i had gangsta in the name was cause the character i had looked like a bad/mean chick and i wanted to boost her unarmed and run around beating things up with just my bare fists.....now "thats gangsta"

Sorry dude but it's a fantasy game regardless of what server you are on and you should at least attempt to abide by that when making a name. Designated RP servers are for those who want to take it to another and level and talk and act as well if you were in that environment but the game as a whole is a ROLE-PLAYING GAME. People with names such as yours should have them changed immediately.

The problem I find, is that like FFXI, WoW's (name policy) is too selective, ban all the stupid shit or none of it, I've seen far worse from people in their 40's and 50's.

Personally, I dont care one way or the other, immersion is the bane of gaming, and expecting a decent community in a Blizzard title is simply foolish. But it's constantly brought up, and I really just wish they'd find a spot to put the bar.

Nothing pissed me off more than reading the CoH boards and listening to the forum goers bitch about how peoples names and costumes breaking TOS. Stop worrying about what other players names are and play the game. I expect a stringent naming policy on an RP server, but Blizzard should ease up on the naming policy for the rest of the servers.
