Blizzard only hires the best talent in the world these days

I knew what this was going to be before clicking the thread.

WHEEEEEEEEE
I was going to ask what was up with Jaina's feet but I think they are supposed to be sea shells?

Still remember when this game announced the beta. I was a blizzard fanatic at that point because of Starcraft and told my friends this was going to be the best MMO ever made. They were all playing other MMO's and I told them this game was going to take over everything and to be prepared to leave those other games behind. That's exactly what happened.

"Representation." Even if it makes no sense in the setting or with the characters.

If you absolutely need to have a character that can't walk for the sake of representation they could at least have given him some sort of magical floating chair:

A flying wheelchair...with wheels...is just fucking stupid. And a good representation of how lame modern fantasy has often become.

I don't think there's incentive to do so. End of Dragonflight leading into War Within, the estimates based on available data pointed to 7~ million active subscribers to WoW across Current and Classic variants (SoD, Classic, classic progression, hardcore, etc.).

At $15 a month USD, $13 if you buy the yearly, I'll just average that out to $14. Then you get millions of that 7mil estimate is in China, for example, but that's working with Netease. Unsure how much Blizzard vs Netease gets from their subs. High end, which they're not getting due to their Netease deal, that's $1.1 billion a year estimate on sub revenue alone.

There's no fiscal incentive to roll the WoW sub into GamePass.

I wonder if Metzen has to get the approval of every "Blizzard Employee Network Group" before making a decision that affects the game

WarCraft 3 Reforged is pretty much unforgivable. At least for me.

Warcraft 3 Reforged bring me some good memories.

When they changed Demon Hunter gender to female, but forgot female Night Elfs have shadowmeld ability as a natural passive, but Demon Hunter can't have because would break the game.

Looks fine for a 2004 game? Never played WOW but if you're complaining about muh graphics, play something more recent?
That's the problem. They reverted back to 2002 animation. It has Warcraft 3 character portrait talking animation going on and that's just embarrassing.

Like, shit man, imagine being a DM and having someone play as wheelchair dude. What are you going to do? Put ramps across every dungeon?

Shit's dumb.

Thats really depressing. I remember when I played Warcraft 3 for the first time and the CGI was nuts.

I still playing Warcraft 3, but Blizzard would never do a game like that again even if they tried. Require both qualify folks and people that do love gaming in their heart.
That's what happens when you replace gamers
as devs with activists.

Ah, a strong, butch black woman with short hair. Let me guess, lesbian too?

I'm glad i quit that shit 10 years ago.

Now the stupid one armed annoying paladin is another story. The writers are on a DEI kick and all about the hugs not war bs.
Wait what? One armed?

So they checked all the boxes then?

Yeah if you watch the first video. That shield on a stump isn't bad art. It's intended. Lol

I'm so glad I kicked the WoW addiction back when pandas were added.

That was the last expansion I liked because at least it was thematically topical throughout, like Wrath had been.

I stayed in denial through Warlords of Draenor and finally checked out in Legion after 11.5 years of constantly staying subscribed. I look back now with regret at the amount of money and time I wasted on it. All the games I missed out on and had to go back and play later because I was absorbed in a MMO that had begun it's downward spiral the moment Arthas was done in.

When Battle for Azeroth came out, I had an old guildmate gift me a copy trying to get me back into the addiction. I played for a week and uninstalled again. My Forsaken mage of the original WoW days with her OG rank 12 General pvp title is permanently retired and sleeping in a crypt outside Undercity.

Why not just buff Khadgar with Levitate? Who writes this shit? Does Blizzard have one of those idiots on staff who thinks if you get rid of someone's disablity you basically killed the person?

I nuked my account when I quit. Sold everything I had, gave the wealth to some random low level and deleted everything. Wanted to make sure I was never tempted back. Turned out to be overkill as I was completely over the whole MMO style of game, not just WoW. I've checked in on the story progression from time to time over the years to see what other legacy characters they've killed off or brought back.

And yeah, there was a lot of games I also missed out on during my time as it was pretty much the only thing I played.
