The incoherent promos really helped set the tone for Jericho's supertroll comeback.

And I'm glad someone in the writer's office remembered Mark Henry injured Kane.

Yeah, and then he could have run under the ring to shake Kane's hand too. The Jericho promo really didn't make since for the character he gave us though. Plus, he said a girl made him come back. Where was the girl?

I think it's a part of the heel persona. He'll probably say he just sent in those tapes because he knew the WWE Universe was gullible enough to try to decipher something that didn't mean anything at all.

RAW needs JR now more than ever, supernatural Kane isn't the same without him.

Next week? Kane kidnaps Cena's dad and sets his car on fire with him in it, Cena has to run and save his dad from the car. This stuff books itself people, gold Jerry, GOLD.

I don't know, I would love to see her because she sure was cute. Or maybe Kane has her down there in that abyss and is brainwashing her about the invisible hand that controls the world ala Elizabeth Smart. Now the WWE universe has to band together and go into the abyss to rescue her before they stay in there for too long and become demons themselves.

Maybe some of us are just different, but we fell in love with the WWE because of stuff like this. It's better than just having Cena win and shake hands with Ryder, as his music plays.

Besides, they've actually managed to make Kane look like a "monster", and given Cena a reason to fear him.

Nah you see, dawg. Chris Jericho had a great segment, so in turn, the entire show was amazing, aight. Dat's how dis shyt work, nahmean.

Well yeah, the Jericho segment is a given. But outside of that, the shitty finish to a good Punk/Ziggler match, R-Truth, and BEING SUCKED INTO THE ABYSS, it was a shit Raw all-around.

....Come to think of it, weren't those 4 things the majority of Raw? Maybe it wasn't so bad after all.

I love things like that. Can't wait for more!

I loved the attitude era but that doesn't mean I loved all of it. The whole coming out of the ring thing is played out at this point.

Word. The attitude era for me was DX, Stone Cold, and The Rock. I was never into the whole "supernatural" people being pulled through holes B movie stuff. The more they did that, the more I turned to technical and Japanese wrestling.

Stone Cold beating Booker T's ass in a supermarket is the right type of corny. Kane pulling dudes into his "fun hole" for playtime is ridiculous.

Not sure if you can really compare it... this really felt more like cheesy mid-90s WWF than anything. And I sure as hell never liked that Undertaker supernatural shit when I was 12, back in 99, so I don't really enjoy it now (other than in some ironic fashion, I guess).

EXACTLY, *SHAKES HAND*

They made Kane look like a "monster" by refusing to fight Cena face to face and by trying to drag his buddy under the ring? Ok then

I'm giving Net Wrecker super powers

I know what will happen.

John Cena will have to develop supernatural powers of his own.

Doing so he will go and seek the aid of the undertaker. Taker will mentor him in the powers of the undead, along with Paul Bearer.

Cena will return, they will have a mystical fight where Kane and Cena exchange throwing explosions and fires at each other.

Oh and Cena will be wearing a cape.
Fuck, just bring in the Warrior and really let the angle go apeshit.

Yep that was basically the whole RAW, so yeah it was great. What else was there? The opening 10 min Cena promo and a short Divas match

Yeeeeeep.

This raw just shows us that they need to get King and Cole off the announce booth ASAP.

guys cant make me exited for shit.

Get Striker on there. He marks out every time someone does a hip toss.

At first it was awesome, then it got awkward, then it got SUPER awkward, then it got confusing, then you kind of felt bad, then you wondered if something was wrong, then you got bored, then you got angry, then you wondered if you were being trolled, then you realized you WERE getting trolled, then you laughed because that's some top tier trolling.

Sums it up perfectly.

God damn Jeritroll I love you.

It's been said, but that Kane bit at the end would have been WAY better with JR on the mic. Instead, it was lame as fuck.

The payoff will be Cena and Kane fighting face to face. Why do it now? They have to find some way to avoid it, and this is the best way to do it. Better than having Kane have some "injury" excuse, or some stipulation barring them (why would a "monster" care?). Having Kane play mind games is the best way to do it. it may not be perfect, but it gets the job done.

If Kane faced Cena right now, Kane would get beat (which is what the conclusion of this feud will be), so why do it now?

I couldn't have said it better. The attitude era was great for just that, the attitude, the edge. The cheesy crap was bad then just as it is now

I don't understand how people can say they liked Austin during the Attitude era, if they didn't like the "supernatural" stuff? He spent the vast majority of the attitude era feuding with Kane, Taker, then Ministry Taker (which was more supernatural than anything).

Austin was always at his best feuding with Vince and the Rock. No supernatural shit

Edit: And Bret Hart

The best part of the Attitude Era was Kane & Paul Bearer going out to dig up the Undertaker's parents. Then they drag the caskets to the Raw stage and Kane chokeslams Undertaker into his mother's casket.

Shit was so over the top, it was hard not to enjoy it. Certainly more entertaining than whatever was going on during Nitro.

He rarely faced Vince, though. Hell the main storyline for most of 1998 was Vince using Taker and Kane (and their supernatural powers) to fight Austin. Then Rock came, but by WM that was over (and all throughout that time Vince was feuding with Taker too), and Austin then started feuding with Taker (then left for surgery).

The vast majority of his time was spent fighting supernatural Kane and, mainly, Taker.
