Also, Brodus already lost me in that one promo. Miz pretty much calls your mom a whore, and your best response is "Don't be talkin bout my momma!"?

Brock would have thrown 15 chairs at him before he even finished the line. Brodus...YOU SAWFT.

So not worth it
It's amazing how much a single gif can encapsulate everything that is wrong with 2013 Miz.

For about two or three months before he won the title i thought he was enjoyable for an upper midcarder, yeah.

Not main event stuff, by any means, but enjoyable.

People actually enjoyed him here on this forum during his title reign until Cena and Rock showed up.

edit: works now

Observer:
. Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards won’t be back at the next NXT tapings and aren’t going to be offered a contract. The basic gist of the situation was that HHH didn’t want to sign them after the tryout camp because of their size. The feeling is they are loaded with guys who aren’t big who can go so the mentality is that they are looking for guys who can headline WrestleMania in five or ten years out of these camps. A lot of people went to bat for both of them, feeling they should get a deal and several pushed that they should go directly to the main roster. So HHH agreed to give them a several month tryout period. The problem with that at first is that WWE also didn’t want them on anyone else’s TV past the commitments they already had with ROH until the end of the year. But after the first taping, HHH made the decision not to sign them. There were stories out that it was because in the match with The Ascension, there was a spot where Richards landed on his head, which was an accident. Essentially, when they were working on their match, Viktor picked Richards up without dipping down first. So when they did the match at the tapings, Richards went up, and this time, Viktor dipped and the end result was Viktor lost him and he landed on his head. The ref told them to go home under orders from HHH in the back. They did, but not right away. I don’t know that had anything to do with the decision not to sign them because it would make little sense regarding Edwards who had nothing to do with the spot, and they were not there to be a team as WWE could have picked one and not the other. After seeing their tryout match, I’m at a loss because they are far better than almost everyone in NXT with the noted obvious exceptions like Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville. The other is that even in working as a jobber team, they got over bigger as far as building their match then just about everyone but Zayn has. I get the size and look issues, but to me the litmus test is do they connect and get over with the fans, and there wasn’t even a question about it. I do recognize the issues with Richards but being dropped on his head wasn’t his fault and Edwards isn’t Richards and hasn’t had any issues with any promotions he’s worked for that I’m aware of. On 1/1, Richards, when talking about things he did in the past year, said that he signed a new wrestling contract. He didn’t specify with who.

Bullshit. Just because they can do more big moves doesn't mean they're far better than almost everyone.

Well looks like Vince and crew have some sort of plans for Flair,Hogan or Stone Cold. Just got a survey to fill out from them asking what kind of roles I would like to see the 3 of them in ranging from wrestling regularly, commentating, being involved in wrestlemania to summerslam storylines or the last option was not see them at all in any WWE program

Passing on Eddie Edwards is a mistake.

Also, considering size talk, I'm going to say that Daniel Bryan will never get to be WWE Heavyweight Champion for a decent run ever again.

Does the WWE superstars talk about The Undertaker-Triple H Wrestlemania XXVII match qualify to be on that list? What about The WWE superstars talk about the Undertaker-Triple H Wrestlemania XXVIII match??

Of course it does, it was the End of an Era. I still get chills thinking about Triple H pushing Taker to the brink. No one (NO ONE) has ever gotten as close to breaking the streak as the King of Kings.

I like the NXT crowd but they are a very hardcore crowd that loves quirky gimmicks and in the know. So you can't judge them as be all end all if they would get over with the casuals. I wished they signed them but its not like NXT is full of nobodies.

Also,

It's said that The Undertaker asked to work with Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX. No word yet if it was discussed internally or anything

Wow, they have to have the match now.

Figured Richards wasn't getting signed, as promotions like AIW have been announcing him for shows next month and beyond.

Nah, just because they're seasoned, well travelled wrestlers who are in demand in promotions the world over means they're far better than almost everyone in NXT.

Who's better than them besides Zayn and Neville?

Kruger. Breeze and Enzo are more entertaining which, despite what ROH tells you, is part of what makes a good wrestler. And as HHH implies, they've already got tons of guys that can go. They need some larger than life people in the main event years from now.

Well, that's good. Because they're not getting signed by WWE. Also, didn't Richards act like he was going to retire and be a full time paramedic? What happened to that?

By that same argument, it shouldn't matter that Edwards and Richards were 'over' with the NXT crowd. Because the NXT crowd will pop from anyone they know from 'dem indies.' Doesn't mean shit when they're in front of a WWE crowd.

So HHH is taking up some bad habits of Vince. Fuck size concerns. They either get I over ir not. Size if a guy should not matter.

That is really the bad news of it all. If he is picking up those Vince vices even when Vince is dead we are in trouble.

Big guys are just as important as flip floppy monkeys, guys. Don't matter how much they work out, WWE is about larger than life characters not Davey 'I'm way into MMA' Richards. They don't need 8 Daniel Bryans. Just like they didn't need 8 Chris Benoits.

I find dick heel Richards more entertaining than Breeze, Enzo, and Kruger. And there is no way that Kruger is a better wrestler than Richards or Edwards.

good on HHH for passing on more vanilla midgets who'd not sell the offence of guys twice their size.

Richards is miniscule, probably smaller than Bryan even.

it's a big body business, when your favourite company had to rely on Shawn and Bret it almost closed shop.

At the rate they're going right now it's not like they're successfully bringing up a lot of smaller guys to the main roster regardless of how many they have. I'm sure this is not how they view that particular issue though.

Some more Observer:

It was an interesting move in taking the wrestler who for the last several months had gotten the loudest fan reaction in the building most nights and turning him. Even with that reaction, it was clear that John Cena was and will always be top babyface, and C.M. Punk was positioned as No. 2, as the headliner on the other brand. It’s not the same thing as when Steve Austin turned heel in 2001, since he brought a generation of fans to the table. The business has also changed to where it’s not like doing this is risking business as it often did when the wrong guy was turned at the wrong time.

It’s not even clear what the direction is, except apparently as a way to make Wyatt into a star capable of working with Cena at WrestleMania, as is the plan. Where Bryan fits into the show is unknown. It is said that Undertaker asked to work with him at Mania this year, and such a match would at least have the turn make sense.

But as of press time, the top four planned Mania matches are still Cena vs. Wyatt, Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar, HHH vs. C.M. Punk and Randy Orton vs. Batista.

My friend RVD shook the amercain wolves hands they were small, YES I SAID SMALL. WWEs loss really.

also why did they relseas chris hero if they are looking for "big guys"

If the internet was as popular back then, people would have been clamoring for Diesel to job to Backlund and that Backlund would somehow get more ratings.

I don't believe that report. It sounds like nonsense. The big 30 for Wrestlemania and we're supposed to believe Cena will be stuck in a match with a nobody (genuinely don't know who he is) and Batista will be stuck in a match with Orton. Batista vs. Cena has a better chance than that happening.

Also, Batista needs a promo like that Triple H Desire one. That's how you hype a return. Yep, was so bored of catching up on recent WWE years, I've travelled back in time to 2001.

Classy game, addictive too.

Also too bad about those guys

Yeah, Richards was going to quit because he couldn't juggle wrestling and his personal life, but has since managed to get his paramedic accreditation, so good on him.

Hoping he comes back to the UK soon, his match with Zack Sabre Jr. at Rev Pro's Uprising show was excellent and one of my favourite matches I've seen live this year. Great storytelling, as impossible as some may find that to believe.
