I feel like a Mexican/Creole hybrid joint would be the GOAT restaurant. I'm thinking the Mexican place in my city mixed with Yats in Indy. Swap out the Mexican rice and beans for like...chicken creole rice. Plus tacos. Fuck. FUUUUUUUUUCK.
Hey Strobogo, you're not a piece of shit.

I remember when Diamond Dallas Page, in an attempt to be cool at the age of 50, kept tacking "scum" to everyone's names. Like "Giant Scum" and "Scott Scum." I also remember when he tried to make "spank it, whack it, and jack it" a catchphrase. Diamond Dallas Page was just terrible on every level.

Aw. To be fair he was early 40s when he was hitting his stride. I thought the "scum" yelling was funny, personally.

New Bryan interview. Continues to hype a Mania match with Lesnar. There's also confirmation of a Bryan DVD in there. A nice part on William Regal:

William Regal has been the most influential person in my entire career. When I first started wrestling, I was training with Shawn Michaels. I thought that I had to be a high flyer because of my size and all that kind of stuff but what happened was within a span of three months, I got three concussions in a row and it was pretty serious. I had a second-degree separation in my shoulder trying to jump off an 18 ft. ladder that was in the ring to the floor and hurt myself there.

I had already been signed to a WWE developmental deal in 2000 and they moved us to Memphis because that’s where their developmental system was and that’s where William Regal was and I always loved technical wrestling; the Dean Malenkos of the wrestling world. Shawn is a great wrestler but he was never necessarily ‘that guy’ but William Regal is ‘that guy.’ He knows an unbelievable amount about technical wrestling. His mindset about wrestling is very similar to mine so we clicked right away as far as him being my mentor and everything like that. Also, our personalities are very similar. Even after I got fired from WWE in 2001, Regal kept in touch with me the entire time. He’d ask me “Hey, I heard about this match you did, can you send me a tape?” and we’d talk about it and he’d be like “What you did here was really great but this here I think needs a little bit of tweaking or this needs work.” He helped me get into England for the first time so if anybody is a fan of the stuff I did with Kane or Team Hell No, the comedy stuff, a lot of that came from wrestling in England for six months where I was doing almost exclusively comedy wrestling.

Regal was the one who told me to do that and to embrace it and said “there are times you’re hurt but you still need to be able to go out there and entertain and if you can learn how to do that, you can do anything.” He’s been an invaluable influence. It would literally take us probably an hour for me to tell you all the things William Regal has meant to me.

Nerdist's wrestling podcast has Stephanie McMahon today

She is attributing the change from Elimination Chamber to Fast Lane to the weight of the chamber itself and how new arena scoreboards limit the number of places they can hang it above the ring.

Cage needs to be bigger and incorporate more sound. Ziggler was on Y2J's show talking about it.

Hopefully the actual match type isn't gone though. It was always a bit dumb to have it before Wrestlemania and hate the annual match certainties anyway outside of the Rumble, but having it at a Survivor Series or something will be awesome now and again.

Wrestling threads are always fun because we're talking about dumb shit and we know it

Sports thread are usually filled with people who think they know everything better than you, and think they are right 100% of the time

Wrestling threads get that way sometimes too. I get what you mean, though.

God damn, I'm only 20 minutes into Star Track 6 and this is boring as shit. More boring than all the trade federation stuff in the Star Wars prequels.

Hah, if you think that's boring, I suggest you watch Star Trek: The Motion Picture and enjoy the 15 minute shuttle scene. Also, nothing in VI is as dull as the trade shit from the Star Wars prequels. NOTHING!

On the one hand, it's cringe worthy. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure it was meant to be cringe worthy.

Ah, all this Jacobs talk has got me nostalgic for the Project 161 stuff before the Age of the Fall started. One of the first instances of a promotion using the internet so heavily in an angle, almost an ARG, especially once the 'hackers' started leaking Gabe's personal info and the message board got shut down.

Yeah, Star Trek 1 is boring as fuck. It's literally a scrapped episode stretched out into a movie with stupidly long sequences like the Enterprise porn near the start of the movie.

They thought combining Star Trek with 2001: A Space Odyssey would be a good idea.

The funny/stupid thing about Star Trek 1 is that it would be a pretty good normal episode.

The goggles do nothing.

I bet some of you older fans waited all your life to see Sunny nude. I hope you're all happy.

WWF massively dropped the ball with one thing. Sunny should have been in Playboy long before Sable.

Well the people handling Star Trek convinced themselves that the series was some deep, cerebral SF or some shit and not just dumb pulp SF, so combining it with poster child of pompous, overblown SF probably seemed like a good idea at the time.

How much or little motion control is involved in the Galaxy games? The trend I noticed with most Wii era games were that the best ones had the most minimal motion bullshit.

The pointer is used to collect Star Bits and a couple of levels per game have special motion controls. You also shake the controller to do a spin attack or launch Mario out of star slingshots, but I'd say 90% of the game is traditionally controlled.

Roddenberry was already past his creative prime by the time Star Trek 1 came around, to be honest. Paramount pretty much had to yank him out of creative control for Wrath of Khan.

CraveOnline: What can the WWE Universe expect from Daniel Bryan in 2015?

Daniel Bryan: I think they can expect the best Daniel Bryan they have ever seen. I think some people may be thinking that I’ll come back and my style is going to be different because I had a neck injury and that sort of thing. My style will be different but it won’t be because of the neck injury. I think I’m going to come back better than ever and more excited than ever and I have some fun things in store for the WWE Universe so its going to be a great 2015.

Breh is saying all the right things right now breh
