Wonder what the gap was between FF1&2 and Isuka. Interesting how it kicked the shit outta Samurai Spirits.

No DJBox? :( O-well.

It'll be interesting to see what Paper Mario heads back up to on Saturday...obviously, on new release Friday all of the new games jump ahead. However, it will be more interesting to see how Paper Mario sales are sustained.

And yes, by that account, MMXCM bombed on GameCube...but I've got a feeling that FF1+2 is pretty well sky high above everything else anyways, so PS2 probably did too.

Not completely surprising.. Maybe it'll do better in America. (Command Mission GC that is) Then again, it was also going against Paper Mario. o_O

Well, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball 11 sold 55K last week, so will probably be between 25-40K this week. So the ps2 MMX:CM will probably be about 50-70, with GC between 15-35K if I was to guess. So sales of around 60-100K which wouldn't be a bomb by any means, certainly not up to GBA Megaman numbers, but not bad in its own right. And the GC one I'd also guess will hold it's sales better over the next few weeks. Overall though, looks to be a pretty strong week for sales.

Sounds about right for the 3rd remake of the games.

Wonderswan > PSX > GBA, it only makes sense for the sale order to go like that.
I dunno, looking at other Square Enix GBA debuts...

Title (1st week) % (total
Dragon Warrior Monsters: Caravan Heart (210,427) 35.46% (593,458)
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (225,120) 50.94% (441,926)
Slime Morimori Dragon Quest: Shougeki no Shippo Dan (67,797) 21.08% (321,623)
Sword of Mana (149,573) 53.87% (277,634)

...with 100k first day FF1+2 could go on to 400k+.

Also, it looks like Command Mission did indeed bomb. Looks like it'll sell even less than Dragon Quarter. :(

Seems like they generally double'd in sales.

So I guess 200k is around what we'll be looking at.
Doubled in sales from first week, not first day (and some did even more than that). 95k is first day sales for FF1+2... I've no doubt this release will outsell both the PS1 and WSC remakes.

So PM2 is likely heading towards a 20k-40k second week, so about Pikmin's pace I think.

Strong FF 1+2 Sales, although Command Mission really did bomb...majorly on GCN, actually.

Sad that Command Mission bombed. It got great reviews, too :(

It's possible the Playstation sucked any sales away the GC version would have gotten.

So, we should expect a GBA spike this week? Has this not been the trend when a new, or even a remake of a Square/Enix game debuts on the GBA? Even one that has been remade as many times as this one.

I think GBA sales will increase a little bit but not by much...

FFI and II did pretty well considering the recent PSone releases and the cheap availability of the WonderSwan Color versions. I think the GBA version could be the best selling versions yet.

FF WSC sales for comparison...

Final Fantasy (147,173) 39.0% (377,367)
Final Fantasy II (146,765) 60.7% (241,601)
Final Fantasy IV (19,928) 55.0% (36,230)

...anyone have the PSone sales? I don;t think either broke 200k but I'm not sure?

And even i am moderately surprised
nigh on 100,000 copies on one day is now low?

what is considered high these days?

Nes collection then this. They should not bother doing new games anymore.

I can not wait for FF I+II Deluxe edition on PSP :(

Considering Square Enix is throwing their support to the DS, you'd be better off expecting FFIII+IV+V+VI on the DS. ;)
