I just listened to the new Shiina Ringo song in full and it's awful (never thought I'd say that.) Get rid of the auto tune and with a bit of work it might be decent. It sounds like a scrapped Jihen song. She needs to stop using whoever's been doing the mastering lately as well.

New Lui Frontic single out August 12, if anyone cares lol. It's going to be previewed on radio on Sunday.

Fantastic.

So, yesterday I saw OKAMOTO'S and [Alexandros] in London... It was fucking amazing.
Both bands are crazy good live, they blew me away <3
The setlists weren't surprising but it was sooooooooo good, especially [Alexandros]. My throat hurts so much. I couldn't stop singing like a maniac especially during Kick&Spin and ワタリドリ... Only 7 songs though, that was waaaaay too short. :( It was still perfect, [Alexandros] will forever be one of my favorite bands.

Too bad the crowd was mostly there to see Vamps, half of them didn't care about the other bands smh smh

Been enjoying the new Envy release. Still waiting on the vinyl, but the full album is on Spotify.

Besides that, I've been listening to far too much jpop lately. Can someone recommend a really heavy band for me? Possibly something with guttural vocals and a wall of noise. For example, Crossfaith, but louder and less electronics unless it works well.

Fear, and Loathing In Las Vegas (one singer uses heavy auto-tune and has a soft voice while the other screams, they use electronics so it's kinda similar to Crossfaith I guess)

My favorite "loud" band.

Hmm. I don't really listen to something like that, and the "heaviest" stuff I listen to are Melt-Banana and 凛として時雨. So yeah, basicaly these. However, I think I can satisfy the "wall of noise" request. It's not going to be very heavy, but, well, maybe you'll find something interesting. Try these:

phatmans after school released a surprisingly dancey track with an amazing pixel art music video, impressive!

Didn't expect this kind of song from these guys but I love it. They kinda have the "BUMP OF CHICKEN junior" image stuck to them so it's great to see that they can do more than that.

Unholy Grave
Intestine Baalism
Muga
Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation
Gridlink (technically japanese, I guess)
Hellchild

Bathtub Shitter
Corrupted
Paintbox
Shikabane

Holy shit. I love you guys. If I wasn't on mobile in the middle of nowhere I'd listen to all of this immediately. Can't wait to get back.

Really liking Charisma.com's latest mini-album, especially アラサードリーミン.

OKAMOTO'S videos are now on their international Vevo channel, this is great. Their latest PV is one of the catchiest songs of the year. It was even better live.

They're coming to the Moshi Moshi Nippon festival in France in october but I don't know if I'll go.
Boom Boom Satellites are also performing so I'm kinda tempted... Don't care for Capsule and Tempura Kidz though. I'll just wait for more artists to be announced.

I like every song except お局ロック, that one just kinda annoys me. Would have replaced it with とんがりヤング.
Speaking of, I was just watching this performance . They have some great energy live.

Yeah they announced it like last week.

Awesome.

Samedi 3/10 : Capsule / Yasutaka Nakata (Capsule) / Boom Boom Satellites
Dimanche 4/10 : Charisma.com / Tempura Kidz + 1 artiste surprise

Looks like there is only one free spot now. I'm wondering if it's going to be Kyary, I think she is performing the following weekend in London.

I liked this one the most. I bit too hardcore, but really solid. Fear and Loathing and Her Name in Blood I've listened to before.

This one is great! I already knew about te' (longtime favorite!) and a few others. The singer of 凛として時雨 did the Tokyo Ghoul opening right?

Great list! Swarm is great. Reminds me of a few local bands. Muga, Gridlink, Hellchild, and Shikabane I really liked.

Wow. Really good. I'm going to be busy going through their discography.

yeah that Swarrrm album is one of my favorite albums of all time. definitely one of the most bonkers vocal performances I've ever heard, and that's saying a lot.

up there with that one singer Bethlehem had

Aira Mitsuki went to Younapi's birthday show (ゆるめるモ！have special shows for their members' birthdays, usually with solo/special performances). Younapi is a long time Aira fan.

Yes. His solo project is "TK from 凛として時雨" and the OP is "unravel".

New Ling Tosite Sigure mini-album, es or s, on September 2nd!

Recorded in Berlin.
01. SOSOS
02. Mirror Frustration
03. Karma Siren
04. Tornado Mystery
05. end roll fiction

Sweet! Hopefully it's better than the most recent singles. Those song names are the most Ling Tosite Sigure, only thing that's missing is the word "sadistic" in there somewhere.
