I'll have to listen to it a couple of more times but I definitely loved it. Hard to pick my favorite song yet but Impact is up there. Born Slippy is also awesome...
I also have to listen to their previous albums now heh

The impact is definitely a great song, reminds me of Baby born & Go.
I like the album "The One" the most. It has a lot of energetic, unique and cheerful songs.
Then comes life 6 sense and Last.

Damn. Fishing through Shattered Tranquility for j rock news is always depressing.

K of Moi Dix Mois and Yuuze of E'm ~Grief~ died since I last checked, and we're coming up on Isshi (Kaggra) and Jasmine You (Versailles) 's death dates.

And that's just bands I've liked that passed in recent years. They die so young.

This is interesting.
You might now Amuse's event called BBQ in Tsumagoi. It's an even where several artists from the agency such as Perfume, Porno Graffiti, ONE OK ROCK, Monobright, HaKU, Takahashi Yu... perform and enjoy a nice BBQ.
For this year's BBQ, there will be a theme song...
And guess who's writing the lyrics... Perfume's leader A-Chan :lol Porno Graffiti will be composing the music. I wonder if it'll be any good.

Cover for Gesu no Kiwami Otome's upcoming single. Nice.

Listened to The Florist's album Dark Entries.
Back when they released their first music video I was disappointed that it didn't sound like STARBOARD (the vocalist's previous band) but I still gave it a shot.
Good decision, I totally loved it, they might end up being my favorite shoegaze band in Japan. There are still a few elements that reminded me of STARBOARD which is a good thing, the vocalist's voice definitely fits the tone of their songs, it's beautiful.

That's good. That's damn good.

Goddamn Kurita, I have too much music to listen, why do you keep bringing cool stuff >.<

show the list!

I came across QOOLAND by searching through this thread a few weeks ago. Definitely a cool band. I love their shout out to Weezer on the LP with the song Blue Album. They covered the intro to My Name is Jonas. They kinda remind me of the cabs, but with less emo/indie sensibilities and a more standard approach to pop rock.

Dunno if I'll buy everything but you get the idea

Hmm, they haven't won me over yet...
I really like Anderson and cold girl, lost fiction, but looking by this and Lie to myself, I get the same feelings I had while listening to their first stuff: Great potential, but lacks "content". Most of the songs were similar, and TBH, kinda boring. I really like their use of keyboards but in the end, I don't like their actual songs. =/

Will wait a bit, check them again when they make new stuff.

I had the same feeling when I discovered them but after listening to their stuff multiple times I finally ended up loving them.

Sakanaction released a trailer for their upcoming live DVD/Blu-Ray
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-KmvwkIhkA
It also features the concert with the point of view of their staff (Team Sakanaction), so you'll see the engineers tweaking stuff while the band is performing, get different camera angles... Pretty neat.
Their new artist picture is also nice.

Jun Togawa has done a BIS and re-recorded Suki Suki Daisuki with Hojikaidan for their 35th anniversary album. Actually Nozomi and Uika from BIS are going to be on the album too. It's out 20th of August.

Three more pretty damn good bands I discovered recently.

Giraffepot (ジラフポット)
http://youtu.be/HN4zNnuXDBc
KANA-BOON's vocalist often talked about them, guess both bands are friends.

Yoru no Honki Dance (夜の本気ダンス)
http://youtu.be/abdto8e3EV4
Pretty dancey, love it.

Kankaku Piero (感覚ピエロ)
http://youtu.be/DgfKFXZWdJ0
Boobs. Too bad their CDs seem to be only available at live events...

Damn, Display really is fantastic. Fist pumping all day every day. Ijiwaru na Hello (いじわるなハロー) is pretty sweet, too. Nakata, stop doing kick ass b-sides.

Those two are better singles than Cling Cling to be honest. Cling Cling gave us that gorgeous styling, but still..

Cling Cling is AMAZING. I thought of doing a rank of the songs but they're all first place. Cling Cling is great as we all know, it's been a while since I've heard Hold Your Hand and it's still really good (and I think I'm liking it even more now), I'm warming up to DISPLAY (since I was mixed about it) and it's definitively top-tier, and Ijiwaru na Haroo is a nice surprise and might be my favorite track of the 4.

And, I missed the stream, is it recorded anywhere?

Nothing's Carved In Stone's new PV, Brotherhood : http://www.jpopsuki.tv/video/Nothin...-Brotherhood/de7c57f93639f77a823d53725b204a8c
So so so good. Their upcoming album is my most anticipated release of 2014 (well, technically it was the HIATUS's album but it's already out).

Those Miis ares adorable!!!

Found a good Nocchi avatar, here's hoping Kurita doesn't plan to use it ;P

Don't worry haha, I stick to real pictures.
Two Nocchi avatars is a good thing. #TeamNocchi
