Currently trying to get through my last bach of 2012 releases. Have to rip my CDs of BYEE the ROUND's Hello Yellow and Czecho no Republic's Dinosaur.

Next month is gonna be crazy!

Figure I'll ask here but does anyone know when Motohiro Hata version of rain featured in Garden of Words' trailer will be coming out? I tried searching but didn't find a release date.

Well he released his album last month , maybe it is featured there? Looking at his schedule, his recent single is hatsukoi/ Goodbye Isaac (which is the theme song for Space Brothers_ and that was released last month the 16th as well. Maybe he didn't announced it yet and will release it along side the movie?

Artists normally announce stuff 2-3 months prior the release, when is the movie coming out?

EDIT: Looking at the track list, there is not a single track called ''Rain'' featured in the new album. Are you sure the name of the song is ''rain''? Maybe it will be a stand alone single that will be announced later...

Yup, I have his new album since I'm a big fan of his. Pretty sure it's called rain since it's on the trailer. But yeah, you're probably right that it'll be a stand alone single later down the road. Probably when the move comes out, he'll release it.

Kicks ass. Way better than Mirai no Museum.

True dat, but what can you do with a Doraemon theme.

This is funny, kind of. Perfume's A-chan wins poll for best singer in an idol group http://ranking.goo.ne.jp/ranking/022id/video_jNSmDC7ZCF3I_all/

This is a member of Perfume, the one group to (almost) never sing live.

But it's actually true, though, she's got a nice voice, I'm just impressed that enough people have heard her showcasing it. Here's one clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcA5HtvhOrw

The B-side of Mirai no Musuem while good feels like a Capsule reject in that it's just composed of Nakata's mixing and little perfume vocals.

Mariko Goti, the vocalist of Midori have a single Album out right now and it has the same feel of her previous album. Not the Jaaz-fusion part but the punkish vocal and attitude. Check her out.

Listening to this now and it's also really good. This lady is very talented. From watching some Midori live performances she also seems to be fucking crazy... and that's pretty hot.

I thought it was ok. I kinda miss the RAAAGE midori had though LOL

Stumbled upon a live version of Ano Kumi Made by Special Others, Ohki Nobuo (from Acidman) and Horie Atsuhi (from Straightener). It's even better than the studio version.
http://youtu.be/Yp6QJjiw5uw

I remember saying HOLY SHIT out loud when they announced their collaboration.
I highly recommend Special Others' self titled album featuring collaborations with KJ from Dragon, Gotô Masafumi from Asian Kung-Fu Generation...

The rage is not there in the Album because of some hiarchy orders of her new record deal, but during live, I have heard that she is as angry as ever and add a great deal on her music whilst she perform.
She still has it!

Aye, she is still a very attractive women in special way. Also, she does have a telnt for writing a avery aggressive songs. Big thumbs up for her.

Fuck yeah! wish i could check her out live.

That's nice. It's funny that it's uploaded for everyone to see. I've paid for membership to their global PTA fan club and that 'global' site is just the JP one with a google translate button, and then translated stuff is out for free. No hard feelings though, would pay for it again.

jyA-Me's PASSWORD is such an addicting song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72_hsc-m7oU
oh yah JyaMe... a good segway to talk about another one of my favorite artists:

Yu-A!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjUePTTOY2U

so not too long ago there was a group called Foxxi Misq which was a sexy girl trio made of Dem, Chie, and Yu-A. I actually really liked them and recommend you check out the one album they released titled Gloss.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnUV7I1X6mg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BoaPOZa1CQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-08THQxfH04

they broke up.

Chie tried a solo career, didnt go so well... she only did like 2 or 3 singles.

Dem went into a group called Fivesta consisting of her, JyaMe, Clench & Blistah, and a DJ

and Yu-A has a solo career, 3 albums in and she is just incredible.

she really went conservative in the solo transition, none of her music videos show even a peak of cleavage considering all her stuff in Foxxi had her boobs hanging out everywhere

but despite putting out a lot of real powerful r&b and ballads as singles, her records still have real good fast paced party songs in them (on her 2nd record she did her own version of Gypsy Woman which is just amazing).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyP850UK6N8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9sIwUJDUnw

so yeah, Yu-A, 3 albums deep: You Are My Love, 2 Girls, and Dream.

highly recommend them all, in addition to Foxxi Misq's Gloss.

Can't wait to delve into it!

Also, they are releasing a compilation of their indie hits in about a week, from now. Too much The Mirraz, I am drowning in them.

Foxxi misQ.

I always found CHiE to be the superior member of all the girls. YU-A's solo work is pretty boring, and I feel like most of her albums are filled with filler fluff.

For YU-A's albums, her only decent tracks are

You Are My Love: Ah Yeah!!
2 Girls: 忘れられない恋, 淡い記憶, ULALA, and SAPPORO
DREAM: 片想い, 鍵, I WANT YOU, and oyasumi

Overall, I feel like YU-A has potential, but she's as you say conservative. She needs to bring that Foxxi misQ spice into her music. I did like YOU and her latest single though.

CHiE's Beautiful Ladies, Kagi wo Kakete, and Honno Sukoshi, Honto Sukoshi were all awesome.... although a bit cheap sounding.
I feel like the girls as Foxxi misQ were amazing, however, as soloists, these girls are not really bringing anything special. I guess we won't be hearing fierce songs such as Ultimate Girls or A-L-I-V-E anytime soon.

I just hope that CHiE will finally release her debut album, or at least a new single without depending on EMI MARIA or other unknown rappers.

That is surprising. I never gotten into The Cabs myself, but I respected what they were doing. Too bad they broke. However another great project might come out of it, so lets wait and see what they are up to, individually.

In love with ONE OK ROCK latest album.
So fucking good. I wouldn't say it's better than Zankyo Reference because it's really different, it's hard to compare them.
The comparison between Niche Syndrome and Zankyo Referencr was easier imo since the latter felt like the "Version 2.0" of Niche Syndrome.

It's pretty good. I'm surprised at how much I like the slower songs. Kinda wish there we more songs like 'Deeper Deeper' though.

I'd say that ONION!, Deeper Deeper and Juvenile are some of the best songs on the album. But really, it's different from their previous works.

ONE OK ROCK is fast becoming one of my favorite bands. The new album is incredible, no idea what my favorite songs are yet. So so good.

Like 4 consecutive post about ONE OK lol. To be honest I never really gave them a shot and I could never see myself thoroughly enjoying their material. I'll give this album a shot however

Well, it's one of my favorite bands but it's pretty basic "young guys playing energetic emo-punk-rock-whatever", I can see why some people might not love them.
But still, it's "easy" to listen to, I'm always pumped up when I listen to this band (2.235 plays on my Last.FM can't lie).

Also, Keytalk released their very first full album today, it's available on iTunes and I highly recommend it. You might recognize the bassist's voice since he was also the singer of the cabs.

If you want pop-ish, fresh indie rock, look no further. Love this band.

Yeah that was kinda my beef but I do thoroughly enjoy the Cabs so it's only fair.

Yep that's pretty much exactly what it is. Perfect music for running or working out (or keeping myself awake at work). And as far as that goes, there's not much better out there that I've found.

they aren't the '2deep4me' jrock a lot of music nerds love. they're still fun to listen to. not my favorite jrock band but all their songs are fun for the most part. I have a lot of other bands I'd rather listen to though.

I tried listening to stuff like Spyair, Crossfaith but... meh.

Huh, discovered Ai Iwasaki while watching the Countdown Japan 12/13.
It's pretty basic but cool and catchy pop music. The interesting part is that her support musicians are the HIATUS's guitarist masasucks, Asian Kung-Fu Generation's drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi, Straightener's bassist Hidekazu Hinata and BEAT CRUSADERS's Mashīta.
Talk about a great line-up...
