Could you please do what I asked and move the PSP numbers up one week so it's easier to compare?
BTW how do you get to that page from the main menu? I don't see a link.
EDIT: I have another question about the chart, does it factor in that the GBASP was launched during the week ending 17-Feb-02?
Erm... it'll probably get updated tomorrow when I have time. I don't see the point in moving the PSP up as it is aligned week by week with the DS, don't see as it makes a lot of difference either way though.
And about the SP it was launched in 2003 not 2002- that would have been less than a year after the original GBA launch!!
And yes, I should add a link on the main page amongst other things
To give an idea how DS is doing so far and what we can expect over the next few weeks:
Code:
GBA 2001 GBA 2002 GBA 2003 DS 2005
09-Dec-01 39 08-Dec-02 07-Dec-03 44 04-Dec-05 177
16-Dec-01 121 15-Dec-02 242 14-Dec-03 60 11-Dec-05 299
23-Dec-01 265 22-Dec-02 325 21-Dec-03 155 18-Dec-05
30-Dec-01 216 29-Dec-02 28-Dec-03 197 25-Dec-05
06-Jan-02 286 05-Jan-03 04-Jan-04 277 01-Jan-06
13-Jan-02 88 12-Jan-03 11-Jan-04 81 08-Jan-06
Incomplete numbers from 2002 and also they are kind of mis-aligned a bit for example the top week on "GBA 2001" ended the 9th Dec and did 39k which is probably a better comparison to this week ending 11th Dec 05 for DS.
I think people fail to realise that the boost only really starts around TODAY (~15th Dec) and in fact it's from now that numbers will double. If the DS was on 300k already, 150k for Animal Crossing, 50k for Brain Training / Tamogotchi etc then who knows what kind of numbers we'll be getting in two weeks (ending 25th Dec) when things really go wild???
500k for DS? 250k for Animal Crossing? another 200k for Mario Kart, 100k+ for Brain Trainings, Tamogotchi, 75k for Nintendogs?
We will have to see...
I'm calling hardware sales at:
18th 300k
25th 500k
01st 350k
08th 400k
That's another 1.55 million!!- 5.8 million total
May be optomistic, will have to see
