I understand completely. That is unfortunately unrealistic. But at the very least, you should get financial restitution for it.
It may be more difficult, because I believe you said that the person who produced these images was never caught.
Here's an article from the NY Times from 2013. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT IT CONTAINS TRIGGERING MATERIAL RELATED TO THE TOPIC OF CHILD ABUSE. The women in this story, one of whom was a part of the Supreme Court case that contributed to the creation of the aforementioned Senate bill, would receive letters from the Justice Department alerting her that material in which she was identified had been found in someone's possession. She then contacted an attorney who started "the public-interest Childrens Law Center in Washington" who helped her file suits against a number of individuals.
At this point I must admit that I am out of my depth, and if there are any lawyers/law students they should jump in with specifics.
