She told me later on that she didn't know what to do because she was still new to this country (We just immigrated from Portugal to seek refuge from my abusive drunk father). She spent 2 months praying to God that I would come back instead. I was only saved because a 17 year old boy who was forced to teach me how to pleasure those bastards managed to smuggle me and 2 other kids in a truck so we could escape from that hell and dropped us off at a hospital.

His case is on-going... because, while Jared was high-profile, the other guy's involvement was far, FAR worse and far more extensive.

I can relate all too well (though I'm sorry your story sounds so much worse than mine). If we're being candid here, my stepfather molested and raped me and my two older sisters from when I was about 4. He was the stay at home dad and my mom was at work all the time and was none the wiser. It went on for 8 years until my oldest sister's boyfriend found out and finally confronted him. I was just getting to the end of Junior High and I was so "broken" going through High School.

I'm 31 now, and I'm in a much better place. Like you though, I get the occasional flashbacks. SO yeah when I say "No sympathy" I'm not just throwing it out there. I know just how these slimeballs think.

I will say now that a direct involvement warrants improsonment, as I said earlier.

The only possible way to end child porn with real children is to create an alternative with fake children.

Somebody will always be there to make it, you can't stop it. Not saying you shouldn't try, but it's useless to punish the people who are solely viewing because it won't stop the production. You can't hope to imprison everyone, you have to cut it off at the neck, or like I said, create an alternative (robots or cg or something) that keeps children safe, and money out of the producers pockets.

Its absolutely useless to punish viewers unless there's a direct link.

It has been made clear to me that this is not the case with Jared, so I will rescind my statement of this applying to him, but as a general sentiment I believe it to be true.

Your original point is insane. Consuming child porn continues the cycle of abuse and rape of children used to produce it. It absolutely warrants jail time.
