Comic books are 90% of the time written for teenagers. It's the My Little Pony for 15-year-olds. That doesn't mean there aren't some great stories in comic books, but you gotta be self-aware enough to know that your hobby is catered to people who are in high school.
That doesn't mean you can't like it, I don't mind it, I read some comics sometimes too, and most entertainment is aimed at kids first and foremost, but it does mean that you should understand that you aren't exactly reading Crime and Punishment here.
Grown men talking deeply about comic books is like grown men talking deeply about Pokemon. It's cool you enjoy it, but you should know to keep it to yourself because it's a bit creepy to meet people who obsess over alien bikers called Lobo when they are grown men.
