Amazing instrumental/electronic hip-hop, with influences of glitch and juke/footwork. I highly recommend the tracks "Bellasparse" and "Thanatos", but seriously, the entire album is KICKASS.

oh god im still catching up on last page, haha

i got inspired & haphazardly tossed together a Jazz-Hop spotify playlist, it's largely stuff from this thread - open to suggestions! kills me that Nujabes, Uyama Hiroto, Thallus, LJones, Kenichiro Nishihara, Jenova 7 & some of my favorite shit isn't on there, but at 700+ tracks it's pretty thorough. i mostly dumped full albums, so it can be treated as a massive sampler i guess, heh...anyway, enjoy!

*edit SHIT YES new jenova 7 right as i said that, let's start this year off right!

ps Jaroof yo PSN is full suckah!

Had to check this thread out, big fan of Nujabes and Fat Jon. I bought Impression (still waiting for this one to be shipped) and Departure, the latter has to be one of my favorite albums of all time. Aside from ebay and amazon, is there any place where I can buy Metaphorical Music and Modal Soul for a reasonable price (it goes for like 50-60$, I'd imagine there must be an official japanese CD store or something with more affordable prices...)?

Also, I stumbled across a guy named Negrosaki and can't stop listening to this Final Fantasy X remix. Are there any video game jazz-hop-ish remixes I should check out?

$50 is probably the cheapest price you'll get it. Hydeout's official store charges around that much after Jap Yen -> USD conversion.

Yea, starting to realize this. I'll keep an eye out on amazon and ebay, might get lucky. I bought Departure for twenty five dollars or so and saw it for like ten dollars a week later, so who knows!

Stumbled upon this earlier, not sure how I feel about it yet. Some parts are amazing, but it's a lot more jazz and not very hip-hop. However I could imagine sampling some parts and adding a bit of other stuff would create something amazing, how I wish I could be a producer sometimes haha.

Be extremely careful about second-hand sellers. Make sure you get an official release and not a bootleg of the albums. Try to find a catalog number for the item and compare it to official releases on hydeout's website. Discogs is another great resource.

Thanks for the tip! I only buy from top rated sellers, but I guess that doesn't necessarily guarantee an official release.

Hey guys, just popping in to say say thanks! This thread introduced me to Luc Sic, and it's one of the greatest pieces of music I've heard. Still, I've been into Rock and Jazz most of my life, so I'm pretty new to the Hip-Hop scene... Is there any other songs/artists that are similar to Luv Sic?

Start from page one of the thread and enjoy, man. This thread is all about music like luv sic, and has been the most consistent music threads with quality posted recs I've seen on these boards.

Got a few new songs/albums from the last few pages alone, cant wait to sit down and listen to them all sometime soon.
