That's typical Jerry

George "So she asked if she could hug you?"

Jerry "She did."

George "And you said No Thanks."

Jerry "Was that wrong? Who wants hugs all the time? What kind of person walks up to someone and asks for a hug. It's kinda creepy"

George "Indeed. And she did ask the question"

Jerry "She asked the question"

Perfect.

Its a fair question, I don't know what a Kesha is either.

If Kesha was a big fan she would have known he is a germaphobe. Literally a whole episode about Jerry refusing to kiss his gf because he dropped her toothbrush in the toilet. Not to mention hes being interviewed, she should have been respectful and waited until he was finished.

And we're done here. Bravo wood.

I have a vague idea of who Kesha is, but can't put a face on her, only thing i know is she's some relevant popular artist right now.

I know who Seinfeld is, and can recognize his face, but my understanding of who Seinfeld is amounts to "has been who had a popular show in the 90s and whose comedy struggles to stay relevant".

This is extra hilarious when you consider he still tours to sellout crowds

What I love about the clip is Seinfeld is talking about trying to get to sleep while tired.

It's such a normal Seinfeld bit before it gets interrupted for the hug.

It must always suck for a celebrity to not get recognised, but somehow I don't think the 63 year old Seinfeld is in Kesha's demographic. So she shouldn't feel too bad.

George would then afterwards change his tone completely when he sees her and question Jerry later why he didn't let her hug him and then rant about attractive women never wanting to hug him.

I'm not saying she should have known or anything like that but I can understand the germaphobe part of Seinfeld. I'm not a germaphobe but I have other issues where random touching, hugs or general closeness of people will freak me out and cause me to have a panic attack or freeze up. It's always awkward to tell people don't touch me or refuse a hug and its never meant to insult or mean I dislike someone but its almost always taken that way and immediately causes people to think you're an asshole even if they say they are cool with it. It sucks and there isn't much you can do about it.

In truth I don't really know who Keisha is either. I'm pretty sure she is in music but beyond that, don't know.

He or anyone has the right to their comfort zone. Especially if you are in the middle of an interview and get surprised by someone you don't actually know, you might not recognize them and as he did, thought she was just another random person.

He just wasn't down for the hug. If someone has said no once, then you push, and they deny you again, and you keep insisting, then you are putting them in an uncomfortable position. You are forcing them to deny you yet again making it awkward.

She asked for the hug thinking she would get it. When denied she might ask again thinking he was joking. But reading his body language you can tell he was uncomfortable. If she would have dropped it there it would have been fine. But she became rude when she persisted and he had to force the denial.

Yeah needs to stay relevant after co creating the biggest show in the past two decades. Poor guy. Not like he denied a tenth season or anything.

Jerry has every right to not want to be hugged.. but as someone who liked his show.. he's a pretty unlikable dude...

He has that same smug attitude Jay Leno has. Just always comes across as stuck up.

I wouldn't want to randomly be hugged in the middle of talking to someone else, either. He had all the right.

I don't know if I'd recognize Kesha in real life. She changes her look so often and hides behind big hair/crazy makeup/wacky outfits so much as a performer I find it hard to form a mental image.

Nah, just a little hyperbole, geez i forget GAF take seinfeld too seriously from some of the posts here.

Admitedly i was posting based on him falling off my radar, he definitely is not everywhere as he used to be before and the most "recent" news i remembered about him was that time he bitched about the world becoming "too political correct".

The thing is, before i'd hear about Jerry even without looking for it, he was that much of a mega star, the fact that a lot of things posted here are news just show me now he's no longer on the point where even being disconnected meant i had to hear about him.

So yes, calling him a hasbeen might have been hyperbolic, relax, i did open my post saying i can at least put a face on Jerry, and not Ke$ha.

All of this is nonsense back pedaling. Just because he isn't doing 30 movies a year aka Kevin Hart or Dwayne Johnson doesn't mean he's "falling off". He's still one of the most valuable comedians on the planet, and he's still creating new content and STILL doing shows.

C'mon son.

I'm not bothered by this, he didn't know who she was and he wasn't rude about saying no.

Man Jerry look so uncomfortabke but I wouldn't blame him, I too would find it strange if a random came up to me while I was in the middle of a conversation/interview for a hug.

I don't play around with my personal space.
