Jez Corden: PC Game Pass is the best deal in gaming

Ye, lesser versions of ordinary SKU (Steam/GoG for instance), missing features or with performance/stability problems, contributing to give PC ports a bad name.

Only MS could achieve that.
What a deal.

So I'm slowly transitioning over from Xbox to PC only and I'm wondering how many people plugged their PC into the TV and use it sort of like a hybrid console. Any recommendations for third-party software to make it easier, other than obviously Steam and Xbox for Windows.

My PC is hooked up to my TV. As for making like a hybrid console- WHY? It's a PC that plays games so use it like that! I have a keyboard and mouse set up on a little bench and an Xbox controller to play games. And it works flawlessly. I buy everything now on PC (Steam) and will never look back.

I built a PC in an HTPC case some years ago and it's still connected to my big TV, have a cordless Logitech keyboard with integrated trackpad, it worked fine but I prefer console gaming.
Steam Big Picture Mode has steadily improved but don't let anyone tell you that it's as simple and uncomplicated as console gaming, it isn't.
There are plenty of pros, depending on what you're looking for, connecting to the TV is a piece of piss though, easy peasy.

Playnite is absolutely incredible for this and will give you everything you need.

They want to give people a reason to buy the $15 version and push people back to paying for their games. The $15 version was completely pointless before.

Pretty much this. I believe this is their sneaky way of essentially killing GPU. I think another price increase isn't too far off as well.

PC Game Pass will likely raise again in future, or eventually be phased out next-gen when an Xbox is just a PC.

Given the increase already though, I'd easily say Steam/GoG sales, Epic giving away weekly free games, Amazon Prime monthly games, and key sites are the defacto best deal you can get in all of gaming.
