Jez Corden: Playstation Pulling Back From Releasing Their Tentpole Single Player Games on PC

The 1+ year late shadow drops were always a losing strategy, as soundly evidenced by all the 3rd party "Exclusives" Sony money hatted that went on to bomb on PC a year later, while Capcom's day 1 releases made PC their largest platform. Playstation protectionism to sustain their ridiculous paid online bullshit and 30% cut. Shame the Steam Machine is poised to be a ridiculously overpriced under powered turd, it'd been nice to see someone actually offer some competition.
Capcom doesn't have consoles to sell.

Ghost of Yotei about to make you have a meltdown once it releases on pc next year. Like I said before I think Sony got a launcher coming up their sleeves.
Yeah sure.....that plan makes as much sense as someone planning to open a new clothing store, while also making their products available at Walmart.

Absolutely, add the new forthcoming PS handheld to the mix and it makes no sense to sell their future games on Steam when they NEED to sell those on PSN to justify their hardware strategy....

Also considering that SteamDeck becomes the main competitor in the handheld space for third-party games
Releasing ports on Pc sort of made sense 5 years ago and seemed like a cool novelty, but a lot has changed since then. Less 3rd party publishers on the open market and more devices to compete with. Plus they've built enough data to see what the level of demand is for their games on Pc. The games Pc gamers like, isnt the kind of games Sony invests in, unless you count live services games.
