Stunt, Create and Share
Creating levels in Joe Danger is as fast and fun as playing the game itself. In fact, you never leave the game! As you ride through your level, press Edit at any time to freeze the world and play about with it however you want. You can drop a ramp then launch Joe over it, or place a Shark Tank just before he lands.

You can even create your own challenges to send to your friends. Lay down the gauntlet with your own Multiplayer race level, or set out a Coin Dash against the clock, or a tricky Target Smash. You can complete a friend’s level, then add more danger and send it right back for the ultimate challenge. That’s how we’ve created all our own levels in the game.

It’s a BIG game

You take Joe from zero to hero across eleven tours, which are each made up of up to ten levels. Levels are set in a crazy diverse set of hazard filled game modes like Target Smash, Assault Course, Race, Coin Dash, Bowling Bounce, and Puzzle Mode.

Each of those levels feature a high-score table and up to eight challenge stars earned by thrilling the crowd. Some involve collecting hidden pick-ups high in the sky using skilful boosting, beating Team Nasty to the finish line, collecting the letters of D-A-N-G-E-R , racing against the clock, launching your bike at top speed towards a rack of bowling pins and scoring a strike, or keeping the crowd cheering as you combo a whole level. Sometimes you’ll be trying to do all of those things at once!

Community

Joe Danger is all about playing with friends, because playing Joe Danger together is how we’ve built this game. That might mean passing the pad on a heart-breakingly difficult Coin Dash, or punching your rivals off their bike in Splitscreen. Sometimes it’s crossing the finish line to immediately see all your online friends highscores, and instantly restarting. More often, it’s about downloading a new level and trying to complete it, before making your own tweaks.

We want this to be a competitive game, something to play with friends and one we hope you’ll want to tell everyone about.

This games looks pretty cool, but one thing I can guarantee is that I will never come in "3nd" :D

EDIT: to be honest I was hoping for a $10 pricetag but $15 seems warrented

so 12,99 € or 14,99 €? Rocket Knight costs 12,99 €. Hopefully they will do the same here.
This pretty much destroys Rocket Knight in terms of value and content/replayability.

that would be an awesome price :) (12,99€)

Game seems endless with all those editing/create options

Best news of the whole day, I was thinking about buying Blur but now I don't have any will to :lol Good job on the OP, though the image size would kill anybody on a mobile platform...

Question to Sean: The game is localized in Italian?

Posted on 1 June, 2010 at 4:28 pm by Sean Murray
Joe Danger will launch localised in French, Italian, German and Spanish! The game will release in all European stores simultaneously and if there’s enough demand for other languages we’ll patch them in.
It’s really a very arcadey game though, so not super text heavy

Worth mentioning that the Sandbox level editor is particularly awesome. Got final code last week and it's utterly fab, you can build all kinds of physics-based stuff, including platforms that go sky high and all manner of see-saws.

Seriously, great game.

Multi5, nice. I was hoping it'd be 10€, but now it's looking like 13€.

Have to organise something to get this. :D

How does the game facilitate sharing of levels?

Just how much content is in the game? $15 sounds a little too high.

Edit: Nevermind. The pics loading made me miss the little text box in the OP.

Yeah, really looking forward to this... hope leaderboard integration is as good as Trials HD's leaderboard integration!

Game looks fun, but is there some kind of clause stating PSN games have to have the shittiest looking art.

Can we get a few more pics and avatars for the OP?

the other pics i found were badly scaled, so i opted to use the best ones i found. As for avatars? If you want to make a couple, go for it :D

Get Out. It looks vibrant and fun!

Game looks great, and Holy Shit at the irony of that troll.

Yeah, PSN is the service where the Good Art™ games are a dime and dozen, sure. This is like someone coming to SMG2 thread and saying that Nintendo should stop making gritty and brown games already.

I've been wanting this game ever since I first laid eyes on it in an issue of Edge - those huge colorful pictures about a game I've never heard about were a really pleasant surprise.
I love the "genre" since Kickstart on C-64.

There is none, but there are leaderboards with lots of features apparently.

I'd agree if Joe Danger was purely a racing game. But I find the most appealing part of it to be the platformer focused levels. You don't really need online for that and in fact that leaderboard system will be great for those.

It should have had both it looks like it would be amazing fun setting up an hard course and racing to the finish with five of your friends online. Missed chance there maybe in dlc in the future?.

Are you talking about traditional DLC as in levels? They've talked about doing that. I haven't heard them say anything about patching in an online mode though. But they seem to want to add in things that fans want. So assuming that this is a success then an online match seems possible.

I'm in, hopefully it plays as good as it appears it should. If I'm reading it correctly then it sounds as though we should set up an online thread for PSN names in order to trade tracks and challenges though?

We should keep it here I think. Will give the game the needed attention.

this is great news! last week i was wondering when this would release. day 1 for me.

any word on if created tracks can be shared with the community, or is it limited to just friends like the XBLA version of Trials HD?

3nd :lol

Damn, no wonder it's $15.

yeah that's a lot of content. even if i can't DL levels from the community i plan to buy. i don't have any friends who have a ps3 so hopefully it's not friend-only downloads :(
