I don't get this doctor. He wasn't there, he didn't examine Depp, he didn't examine the finger or the "crime scene" or the photos of it - and yet he has an "expert testimony" to give.

edit: oh. another doc who has never met Depp. I meant the first one. But I guess it goes for this one too?

Oh god, from which hole they find and dig up these people?

This guy is like a professor at college, who's wife left him, he hates his job, questions answered get a deep nose breathe first as though you are bothering the chip on his shoulder with your ridiculous questions

The problem with a batshit client. Is they will make a lot of claims the real problem With a batshit client who can pay is that once the claims are made they need to be seen to be looking into them other the client might not pay or sue you.

I guess they are covering their asses

Ben Chew seems bored. I think he doesn't take this psychologist that seriously either.

This guy says he is an expert in IPV but he isn't but is actually an expert in trauma? But he claims to understand IPV while only a fraction of his cases have been about IPV? And he is trying really hard to keep these things intertwined - like they are in theory - but if called as an expert to testify in a case about IPV, I don't think that's going to cut it. What he is saying that understanding trauma is automatically understanding everything that is classified as traumatic experiences?

What the fuck are the faces this doctor is doing to the Jury with his mouth and lips?

I'm not even making fun of this doctor when I say he seems more like a patient than psychiatrist. He reacts and emotes like having ticks.

That really doesn't look good for the defense. I wouldn't be able to trust him personally. He is too weird.

About blackout? So what? Are the saying that the numerous alleged assault cases where there were other people present right after and didn't see any injuries on Amber, had blackouts too? What is the point of this? How is this ever going to negate anything plaintiff has proven? And all this theoretical background about cocaine usage and blackouts and whatever without, again, actually examining Johnny at all - pointless. I think if you are a doctor and are testifying, you probably should always examine people who you are saying something about.

A review on his google page, lmao

"Dr Spiegel showed up for our appointment looking like he had just rolled out of bed. I offered him a comb and he looked at me bewildered as if he’d never seen one before. Then he threw a bottle at me and the tip of my finger was severed. Very bad experience."
I honestly would believe that.

Marlon Brando line kinda pissed Depp off. He went from "this guy's amusing" to "son of a bitch".

Oh man, I have to change my opinion. Now that cross started, this is almost the most fascinating thing I've seen in this court. This doc is just so out there with all the denials and arguing with Johnny's lawyer. It's absolutely fascinating!
